There are 600-700 Computer Based Training courses that are used based on the old “rule book”. Current staff of SME trainers have been making minor adjustments and updates to the courses, but they all came from the railroad side of the house and are not “computer people”. Moving forward they need someone to work as a full time content developer for new courseware. Size of group: 20-25 Day to day job responsibilities: The candidate will be responsible for converting, designing, developing, testing, and implementing on-line web-based training solutions. Candidate will work closely with subject matter experts in the developing of on-line training solutions and will work with the HR Systems group in deployment to the corporate learning management system. Initially this person will work with the 20-25 current SME trainers to maintain and develop new content and courseware relevant to the new “rule book”. Most of this work is done with text files that are stored in an Authorware tool. Most courses are typically 80-90 frames.
