I'm a 25 year old, moderately tattooed girl back in town after a stint in Seattle, and I'm looking for a place to stay around January.

I go out a few nights a week but don't bring the party home, and enjoy staying in and listening to records or watching consecutive episodes of Degrassi as well. I ride a bike on occassion, go to shows, and try to cook fairly often. I'm looking for a situation with someone similar - I'd rather hang out than skirt around each other. Your gender doesn't matter.

I'm an outside smoker and I drink but am not a lush. I'm clean but don't care if you're messy in common spaces. No pets, don't mind if you have some. E-mail me if you'd like to see my myspace. Let's get a beer and see if we fit! |
Holiday in America - Vacation Home Exchanges provides no cost accommodation.

I am 20 years old (soon to be 21), female, and am hoping to find either one or a couple of people (preferably females also) that have a place and need a roommate or would want to sign a lease with me soon.

A little about me--I am an ACC nursing student, beginning the program in the spring. I have a lot of friends who go to UT, and I just recently moved to Austin-which is totally awesome by the way. I live in an efficiency now, but I have realized I really miss having roommates (and my lease is up Dec. 31st). I have a cat, and would like to get a small dog, so I'd preferably like to rent a house/duplex instead of an apartment. I love animals, so if you have any that is totally fine and good with me. Just as long as they are well behaved, not violent, etc. I enjoy art and music, and I have no preference as to how long of a lease I'd sign. I'll probably be in Austin for a long time, so it'd be nice to have a roommate who isn't going to bail after a month.

I'm really open to all kinds of people, but I would really prefer that you weren't into heavy drugs, were somewhat close to my age, and respectful of privacy. Parties are good, I am not a recluse, but my last roommates would just walk into my room without knocking, borrow my stuff without asking, and other awesome stuff like that. I do have a boyfriend who lives in Oklahoma, so I'd need to live with people who are alright with having overnight visitors occasionally. I'd really like to live with someone who is laid back and doesn't cause a ton of drama.

Please contact me, let me know if this sounds good to you, and I look forward to meeting you.

Thanks!
-Robin

I currently live in Portland, OR, but am looking to escape the winter and live in Austin for 4 months, January through April. I'd like a private room, and need it to be furnished. I'm tall, so preferably a Queen bed.

Some personal info, I'm 29, male, self-employed web programmer, easy going. I don't have any pets, and don't mind being around them if they're well behaved. I like the outside, will be looking to play Ultimate Frisbee, and might start getting my golf game back into shape. I have some friends who would like to visit, but they won't be staying for too long.

We are looking for a sublet no longer than 2 months. Preferably South or East Austin, but as someone wise once said, keggers can't be choosers. We are fun, friendly, and neat. He works in film, I do a lot of theatre. Neither of us is home very much.

If you have anything available, email me. We can meet and see if it would be a good fit. | So I have been looking on the internet for weeks now trying to fins a place in January. I think it probably a bit early, but I am trying to find some cool people to room with for 2009. I live in California now, and I am moving to Austin January 3rd.

I am 24, I will be working in restaurants and probably starting a catering company in the coming year.
As Far as what I am looking for in roommates: I dont care about noise, I am 420 friendly, and would like to find people who enjoy life. I have had roommates that I barely saw, which is cool too, but I would rather live with people who are more active. Austin is an amazing place, I want to live with people who can appreciate it for what it is...live music, good food, great bars, awesome people...etc.

If you are looking for a place too, give me a shout.

my buddy and myself are looking for some nice accomodation in Austin for spring 09 (Jan-May/June). We are two students (males) interested in either sublease in some dorm (e.g. Castilian) or some apartment - ideally within walking distance to UT campus, preferably furnished. Price limit is around $1300 per month for both of us together ($650 per one without meal plan; if meal plan, then higher price will be naturally acceptable). So it means that if you have a bedroom (with bathroom) to rent for up to $1300 which meets the requirements and which is big enough for two guys, we are interested in such offer too ;-).

Thank you ! | Hi. Im Jubal. Im 28. Me and a guy I work with are interested in getting a place together. There a possible 3rd also. All 3 of us work at The Natural Gardener in Oak Hill. Theyve both been there for over two years, and Ive been there for a year and five months. Its more than a job, but a family to us, so I imagine that we'll be there for years to come. We're friendly, active, handy, positive, spiritual, honest guys, we just need someone to give us a shot and bend the standard requirements a little. I'll give you the rundown on each of us who are for sure. Me: Im 28. I have bad credit(including an eviction in '05), I have good rental history with a realty company Ive been renting from for 14 months. I have good rental history on two other year leases, but one guy NEEEVER answers the phone or returns calls. The other people dont know who I am and have no file on me, so....What can I do, right? I make $10/hour and I am good at finding side work if I feel like or need to earn extra $$$. I owe nothing on my car and have no kids. I have a big dog whos very housebroken, well-behaved, and clean. HIM: He's 21. He makes $12/hour. He has no or bad credit(cant remember which) and no rental history. He owes nothing on his car and has no kids. He works on at least one of his days off every week that I can remember. We can pay $800-$1000 for two bedrooms and I'd imagine up to $1500 for three if its particularly neat. We need a large fenced-in backyard with a spot in full sun that we can plant vegetables in. | Recently divorced white male seeking a female roommate who is possibly open-minded and would be interested in intimacy and more. Looking to either share a house/apt or rent a house by myself. I am looking for somewhere with my own bedroom and bathroom. I work downtown, but I don't mind the location. Would also like to split the rent between my two paychecks a month ($250 on the 1st and $250 on the 15th, everyother Friday).

I can pay my rent on time and a very clean person in the common areas. I do not want to feel as if I'm just a guest in the house/apt, but living there.

Please feel free to email me if interested. Would like to move in January. | I am looking for a roommate to share a two bedroom duplex in South or Central Austin or someone with a duplex room, house room, or apartment room for rent. I have to move out by Dec 31st.

I am a 24 year old straight female that has recently graduated college with a premedical psychology degree. I am dependable on rent, responsible, clean but not anal clean, quiet, considerate of other people and their things, hang out with decent chill people, and I respect other people. My intention is to find a roommate or two, along with a duplex/house or an apartment with people that share these same qualities (you don't have to be quiet). Preferably around the same age. I don't mind fun on the weekends and I am an open and understanding individual but I don't want to live with someone who parties at our place every single night loudly at all hours. I would like to get a dog if space and a yard permits. I love animals. I don't mind pets as long as you are able to take care of them and clean up after them. I'm a night owl. I'm not loud but I do stay up. I'm not an uptight person like this add might suggest, I'm chill and easy going but I would like to avoid disrespectful people and drama. I don't smoke (accept sometimes when I drink), I drink on occasion socially, I keep my mess to myself and my room and I like common share areas to stay reasonable clean for guests. No hard drugs (420 ok but I don't smoke) I expect people to eat their own food, clean their own dishes and share in common space chores and things such as dish soap. Fun, unique, individuals are my favorite to be around. I love going to dance, carbaret, flipside, hot rod shows and other events. I like 80's night at the Elysium, music of all types, politics, intelligent conversations, psychology, avant garde and experimental films, animation.. biology, theater, dancing, art... I like to put together crazy outfits and go out...I own a sewing machine and enjoy altering clothing... sometimes I practice learning how to play the guitar..... I tend to room best and get along best with men but women are welcome to reply to this add too.

I'd like rent in the 300 range but 400 if it's the right match is acceptable.

I have found some places around 430 which look nice.

Also I would prefer a washer and dryer and internet, my own bathroom, a two room two bathroom living situation, a dishwasher is optional, and a workout facility if it's an apartment. Lastly I would prefer a six month lease but a one year is acceptable.

I have a copy of my clean criminal background check that I recently had done for a job also if you'd like to see it. I also have five roommate references to choose from that will all say I am easy to live with and no drama.

Please do not treat this as a person add. I'm not interested in a sugar daddy or what not. I say this because I have gotten these sorts of responses before! Please, don't bother!

What we would like to do is barter for some or all of the rent, this would be perfect for a person that maybe owned multiple properties or just had a lot of work to do on their own home, here are some of the things we do in our business:

painting, faux finishing, texturing, drywall work
light remodeling and construction, electrical, installing fixtures
fabrication and light welding, mechanic work, performance upgrades, 4-wheel drives
home and mobile audio and electronics technician, speaker cabinet design and construction
web design and website creation, graphic artwork, business card and ad design, photography

I can make, do, create, or fix almost anything, I can usually make your computer run much faster, fix the broken vacuum cleaner and get the mower to fire up all while simultaneously composing a poem about the experience in my head. I have cleaned carpets and sandblasted shuttle parts, made pizzas and sold flowers, built custom suspensions and made artwork with old tractor parts.

I grew up on a farm so I can plow a straight furrow and don't mind a bunch of critters around, good with growing things too, so a place that had a small plot for a garden in the spring would be great.

We are very interested in sustainable living, and in green sources of energy, solar, wind etc., and will be designing and prototyping new products in this field, this is one of the reasons we need the workshop area, this is where you'll usually find me on days that we are not out on a jobsite, either doing some webwork or happily puttering on the latest project.

A good solid internet connection is a must, we do a lot of our work on the web and all advertising there too.

If you’re an art lover, I am happy to trade art, or murals, for decreased rent.

I currently live in North West Austin, and hope to stay on this side of town since my family, girl friend and weekend job are up this way, but if I can find a cool somewhere else, I am happy to check it out.

I work weekends in a cube job, so rent is guaranteed to be paid.

I am also a neat freak and promise your property will be protected from any paintings I do at home. (Though, since I am predominately a muralist, almost all of my painting will be done away from home).

I have no pets and I do not smoke.
I am sorry, but I am not looking for a roommate. I know that there are some awesome people in Austin that I would get along with but I am just too used to living alone.

My ideal place would be a small house, townhouse, condo, or duplex. One bedroom or Two bedroom. (even an enormous efficiency could work. A big studio apartment might work as well. Just need space and a lot of it). If at all possible, a garage would be amazing, because I am hoping to start doing stained glass work. (Which I would also be willing to trade for decreased rent… provided I can get good enough that you would want it)

Not looking to sublease, sorry. May consider sublease if it is a house or duplex, but definitely not for an apartment.

I am not in a rush to find a place. My landlord is just now looking for a buyer for the condo I am renting. So if you have a place that will be open in a month or two, that may work, but if you have a place available now, that can be arranged, too.

We are looking for ideally a two bedroom though for the right situation would be willing to go with a one or three bedroom place. We are both students so the more central the better, though that seems to be what everyone wants so we're flexible there as well. I'm looking for an inexpensive room or shared situation. I travel a lot so I am rarely home. I'm looking for a "home base" but would likely only be there for a few days a month.

I am looking for something available around mid December to January. Central East Austin (East of 35, numbered streets) or Hyde Park area would be ideal for me as I work close to both and want to minimize the amount I spend on gas and driving distance.

I am looking for a 6 month- 1 year lease

About me: I work 7 days a week, down-to-earth, not a partier, clean. Currently, I am renting a room from friends, but need a place of my own to relax in rather than being cramped in one room.

I can provide references for both living arrangements and people whom have lived with my pets and I.

NO ADS Please. I am not looking for an apartment- just a garage apartment, duplex, or house.

| As of the end of December/beginning of January I will need a roommate. I'm currently not in a lease and just living with a close friend so I can move out at any time. My name is Jessica and I'm a 23 year old student at ACC studying Criminal Justice/Psychology. I moved here from Houston in January and absolutely love it here! What I would love to do is find a room to rent that is possibly furnished due to the fact that when I moved up here from Houston I moved into a furnished apt and did not need any furniture therefore I left it all there for the time being. I currently live off Parmer and 620 and the commute to school and work is just way to far.

I'm currently a manager at Autozone and will soon be working for the Travis County Police Dept., therefore I have a steady income and I'm never late on rent or bills. I'm looking to pay $350-400/month. After bills, gas, etc that is about all I can put aside for rent. I'm clean, quite, don't smoke, and have no pets.

I do not know 'Frank' nor have I ever rented to 'Frank'; however, apparently there are "other issues" and baggage with this guy and he assumed I was someone that has rented to him.

I simply have noticed the various ads 'Frank' has listed over the past two or so months and how they have evolved. Just an observation on my part.

Yes, I have a place I want to rent out so I peruse this category. No, I haven't rented it out yet as most of the posters in this thing are expecting or needing way too cheap rent or have baggage, issues, pets, evicitions, "don't have a job but keep me from being homeless" or "just got a job but don't get paid for...". Sorry, but if those people have burned thru their friends, family and aquaintances, why am I up for it next?

I refuse to give up my personal space, my privacy and hand over and give license to someone my largest investment ($250K house) and all the furnishings, art, etc. for $300 or $375, $400, etc.

It is fascinating the freaks and weirdos on this post.

But, back to the original 'beware'; don't know Frank, don't care to know Frank, have no bad will for Frank, just warning those that are fresh to this posting realizes there has been an evolvement in Frank's ads and the tenor of those ads.

Billywayne: why don't you rent to him?

By the way, look what was found on this guy; he doesn't know where he wants to live either...dallas, austin, san antonio...read the ads...they are rich!
