<![CDATA[This is a great starter bike for many people, but not all people. I've ridden another SV650 for 4yrs and haven't "grown out of it" like so many people claim. It makes plenty of power to break laws quickly and it also has an incredible cult following. Insurance is cheap, it gets great gas mileage on 87 octane fuel, handles very well, and the V-twin power is much easier to control and get the most out of, as compared to all the "crotch rockets" and super sport bikes.<br><br> - Original red paint, but it is not perfect. A number of scratches and dings but, as you can see, looks great!<br> - approaching 19,000 miles, which is not high for a nearly 10 year old bike<br> - runs great and starts no problem every time<br> - clipons (handlebars) from a SV650S so it's a little lower but still feels plenty upright with the stock rearsets (foot pegs)<br> - frame sliders and swingarm sliders<br> - tires are Metzeler M1's with a a lot of life left in them.<br> - recently bled the front brakes and put some good pads on<br> - passed inspection 3 weeks ago and has current registration good until October 2009, I believe.<br> - it is completely stock and, to my knowledge, has always been<br> - I have gotten as high as 60mpg on this, but usually average about 50mpg on 87 octane, which has amazingly dipped below $2/gallon. I would really like to try and ride over the thanksgiving break if possible.
