Generating exploitation and exploration opportunities by providing geologic/geophysical support to interdisciplinary teams in the development and operation of company projects.

• Present these to peers for review and ranking purposes.

• Analyze and interpret the regional structural and stratigraphic relations, including published geologic and field studies, and provide interpretations that allow the complete evaluation of upside potential.

• Provide technical support to the Acquisition Group evaluating acquisitions or joint ventures.

• Monitor offset and area-wide activity by other operators to identify and track emerging plays.
<br>
• Integrate all available data to develop all needed subsurface displays of targeted geologic horizons.

• Coordinate technical projects with Geophysicists, Engineers, Geologic Technicians and other support staff.

• Occasionally be required to use personal vehicle to travel to other offices and field locations.
<br>
• During drilling operations, work closely with onsite mud logger to identify formation tops, the presence of potentially productive zones, and well path adjustment.
<br>
• Estimate oil and/or gas reserves.
<br>
• Recommend development of operated properties and/or joint venture endeavors and consult with Engineers concerning drilling and production methods.
<br>
• Present plans and ideas to management to gain funding and any joint venture (JV) partners for approval.
<br>
• Interact with current and future JV partners to gain or maintain trust.

• Minimum of a BS in Geology complemented by 6+ years experience in oil & gas exploration and production.

SWCA is soliciting resumes from qualified individuals for the position of Biological Technician for project work in Bakersfield, California coordinated out of our office in Pasadena, California. The Biological Technician will be required to conduct sensitive species surveys and monitoring in the Bakersfield area. Familiarity with sensitive plant and/or wildlife species of the San Joaquin Valley is a must. Surveys will include mapping, sensitive species locations, documenting findings on data forms, and recording data using Trimble GPS units. This position involves hiking up to 10 miles per day in extreme conditions. This is a temporary position that is expected to work 40 hours per week, and will potentially run through the winter 2010/2011, with the possibility that this work will continue into the spring and summer of 2011.

As a Biological Field Technician you will:

- Conduct surveys and collect data concerning sensitive wildlife and habitats.

-Coordinate daily with seismic survey crews
<br>
-Daily attendance at morning safety/organization meetings
<br>
-Record data on field site forms or other forms and manage these data.
<br>
-Use Trimble GPS units to navigate to survey locations and collect data.
<br>
-Assist the lead field monitor/project manager in data organization.
<br>
-Use topographic maps, aerial photographs, GPS units, and other maps and scientific tools and equipment under arduous field conditions.

-Operate SWCA vehicles in a safe manner, during on and off-road conditions. Notifying appropriate person when vehicle requires maintenance.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

-Minimum of B.A. or B.S. in Biology, Ecology, Environmental Science, or related field.

-Experience surveying for California sensitive species and familiarity with species of the San Joaquin Valley is required; experience with southern California plants is extremely beneficial.

-Available for work to start in September 2010.

-Prefer 1-3 years of experience in related fieldwork.

-Ability to record complete and accurate data.
<br>
-Candidates must be able to conduct fieldwork for long hours, in sometimes inclement weather conditions, including walking at least 10-miles in rugged terrain, and be able to carry equipment and supplies weighing up to 20 pounds.
