<![CDATA[Quality Control Manager - Construction The QCM will be responsible for ensuring the Company meets quality standards in its construction operations. The QCM may be assigned to a single project or to multiple projects. Duties will include reading and understanding the requirements of assigned projects, review, tracking and coordinating submittals; preparation of some submittals; instituting project specific quality control programs; arranging testing of soils, concrete and other materials, procuring specified materials, identifying and suggesting solutions to quality control problems, assisting with the overall management of projects. The QCM is expected to travel to projects and sometimes to be based on projects for extended periods. Some heavy lifting is required (testing apparatus), ability to negotiate uneven terrain and steep slopes is necessary. Ability to work in an exposed environment with possible extreme cold, heat, wind, snow, and rain is required. The QCM will be a part of our Project Management Team. The QCM must be proactive in solving problems. This role is significantly different from a quality control inspector. The QCM will be expected to identify possible issues before they are encountered by the crews, offer alternatives for resolving the issues, and then helping to implement the teams chosen alternative. The QCM must have at least three years of experience in construction with some quality control training or experience. A bachelor’s degree in engineering or other related field is preferred. Certifications in specific testing procedures (soils, concrete, and asphalt) are desired. A current State driver’s license is required.
