<![CDATA[Information Technology Services (ITS) is seeking a creative, high-energy person to manage the ITS Marketing and Communications unit. The unit develops and implements technology-based strategies to define and promote a unified, cohesive image of ITS, and to create visibility and understanding of the services and programs ITS offers. The successful candidate will provide leadership of the unit and provide counsel to the Chief Information Officer (CIO) and Deputy CIO. Strong managerial and motivational skills are required to supervise a dynamic marketing, graphics design, media, and Web designer staff. Superb communication and collaborative skills are essential for coordinating communications with a wide range of constituencies, including faculty, students and staff, friends of the University, members of the community, and members of the news media, as well as serving as the liaison with University Relations staff. The successful candidate will serve as spokesperson to the media for ITS issues and will be required to develop and maintain an effective crisis communication plan, ensuring an appropriate ITS response to potential situations. Other key responsibilities include chairing the ITS Communicators, consisting of representatives across ITS to facilitate communication, a sharing of best practices, tools, and solutions for common problems. Successful market research and analytical skills are key to determining the effectiveness of ITS marketing and communications programs. This job will be filled as mid-level or advanced, depending upon the successful candidate’s education and experience. Minimum educational and work-related experience requirements are: Bachelor’s degree (Master's degree with additional experience preferred) plus four years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
