I don't know the year but I would guess 1970's. It has beautifully weighted keys. Plays beautifully but I have not tuned it since we moved. The cherry wood has been banged up a bit over the years, as you can see i the picture. I don't have a very good picture because the room is dark and the picture doesn't show up well. <![CDATA[I am selling my Pearl Masters Custom kit. I live in a town home now and bought V Drums so I have no use for them. I purchased these drums from a professional drummer on craigslist about 18 months ago. I believe he pieced this kit together through some of his connections/sponsors. They are all the same finish (a black lacquer) and are all 100% maple. However there are some slight differences in the drums. The 12x8 and 16x13 toms are 6 ply MRX models with triple flanged pearl super hoops and the old I.S.S. mounting system. The 14x11tom is a 4 ply MMX model with die cast pearl mastercast hoops and the newer optimount mounting system. All of the toms have silver lugs, rods and hoops etc. The bass drum is 22x18. I am not sure if it is MRX or MMX, but I would guess it is MRX. It has gold lugs and rods. All of the toms have Evans EC2 heads on the batter side with less than 2 hours of playing time and the bass drum has a new Evans EMAD head on the batter side and an Evans EQ3 head on the batter side. The drums show normal wear for their age. I am not exactly sure how old they are but I would guess less than 10 years old. The guy I bought them from was the original owner and played them lightly. I have also taken good care of them and have only played them at my house. They are priced to sell at $500. The price is non negotiable.
