<![CDATA[I have a rare guitar in my possesion I wish to sell. It is a 1940's (possibly early 50's) Kamico acoustic. It is made in the U.S.A, built under Kay guitars. The guitar: Model: "Jumbo Jazz" Archtop Acoustic. Serial#: L1 0035-5858 Wood: Maple throughout, stained. Rosewood fretboard, bridge. Finish: A stain, kind of like a sunburst, that has since lost clear lacquer. I've polished it to shine it up some. Some parts retained the basecoat, making the polish in-effective. The neck has a deep stain, making the maple look very dark, almost like rosewood. Details: The bridge is adjustable, and is made of rosewood. It is not glued to the guitar, therefore it is not currently attached, but I assure you is there. All iblays are present, and are made of bakelite. Also of bakelite is the pickguard and tuning key heads. They have been well cared for and not overtly yellowed, or cracked. The headstock decal features a variation which has a pinstripe style layout under the Kamico name. Frets are all present and smooth, look like steel, but with a gold color. (Possibly brass?) The tuners are ealy Kluson Deluxe 3-in-a-row one peice tuners, like those used by gibson. They do have a bit of surface rust, but turn and tune fine. Just need some oil and a scraping. (Baking soda and some steel wools work, and won't scratch, but be careful.) The tailpeice is a "trapeze" type, which has been cleaned, with most all of the rust gone, and it shines. The one issue other than the finish, is the neck. Acoustic strings will just bow it right up. 8-9 gague electric strings won't, and retain sound quite well. (I suggest DR round core strings) The fretboard could be planed, frets crowned, etc, but this'd be a hundred+ dollars. Steaming will also do the job, which is reccomended. I have no strings on it, as I needed to save the neck ASAP. It has since straightened, and is much smoother now. This is definitely not a heavy playing guitar, but a collectible that I hope goes to a loving home. It is playable, so don't think it is strictly for show. Or, if you prefer, you can let it rip and turn up even louder than a DR by cranking the master. Another cool feature is the Schizo switch, which changes the amp's voicing from Fenderish, to Marshallish, to a very bluesy tone that Reverend has labeled "Lo Fi." <![CDATA[For sale: Conn F-20 acoustic guitar in very good condition. It has a spruce top, mahogany neck, rosewood fret board, inlayed fret markers and the back and sides are all book-matched flamed maple. The guitar is in excellent shape for being 30+ years old. There are plenty of tiny dents but the finish has held very well – no checking or cracking. Overall it is a very solid, pretty little guitar. When I purchased the guitar 2 years ago I had the nut replaced and the action lowered slightly by a luthier at Coffey Music in Westminster. I had planned to hang onto this one for my son when he was ready to start playing but since then I have purchased a few more guitars. My wife doesn’t seem to understand the long term plan and (very unreasonably) insists that I need to get rid of some before I buy anything else. I am selling it with a hard-shell case (which is solid but has seen better days cosmetically), a Planet Waves humidifier and a barely used Boss TU-80 digital Tuner/Metronome. This guitar was manufactured in the mid 70’s by a Japanese firm for the Conn Music Company (once very well known for band instruments, organs, etc). <![CDATA[I have about 40 effects pedals, 10-12 of which are distortion. I play mostly a poppy rock sort of style now and I have a variety of really expensive distortion pedals that give me my current sound. I don't see why the gear I'm not using should sit around and collect dust. So, I am selling some pedals. This one is the Sabine Fuzzstortion. It's a distortion pedal and a fuzz pedal all in one. It's a great little package. Sabine pedals are a little hard to come by and this series came out 8 years go in 2000. The pedal is solid, cool looking, and sounds great. I have the original box (no manual though, but you don't really need it). I am also including an adapter (*note that this pedal, like the Boss TU-2 and NS-2, can power other pedals with it's second power adapter slot, using a daisy chain). It also includes a little protective sleeve/bag which can be used to hold anything once you place the pedal in your rig's lineup. Take advantage of this great deal on a hard-to-find pedal. This guitar looks new, plays like a dream and sounds incredible. The limited edition short-scale 710ce-L9 did anything but come up short in a gear review from the November 2005 issue of Acoustic Guitar magazine. Editor Scott Nygaard starts by recalling how the “bassy whomp” of a Martin D-28 established a defining acoustic voice for a generation of players in the ’60s and early ’70s. While the arrival of companies like Taylor and Larrivée introduced a more balanced, refined contemporary tone, Nygaard acknowledges, the robust low-end of a D-28 remained a sonic benchmark for many. If Nygaard is implying his own subjective preferences, he also professes that the 710ce-L9 “is the first Taylor I’ve played that duplicates the vintage D-28’s woody boom.” “With the first strummed G chord, my face brightened and I was off, boom-chucking like one possessed, ripping into G-runs and launching first-position flatpicked leads with abandon.” But Nygaard quickly realized that this was no Martin clone. The short-scale’s slinkier feel made it easier for him to play, “great for bending and wiggling strings — even in the first position”, which also caused him to lighten up his attack. The guitar’s strong point, he felt, was versatility, inviting him to play “up-the-neck jazz chords” and fingerpick as well. He reckons the axe would be especially loved by players who employ a variety of techniques. <![CDATA[ Jackson KE3 Kelly This was bought on January of 05, it is a Jackson KE3 with the Crimson Swirl Paintjob. It is bolt-on, alder body, rosewood fretboard and jackson tremolo. The tremolo works great and stays in tune. It came with 2 Duncan Designed pickups but i replace the bridge pickup to an emg-81. This originally came with just one volume knob but i added a tone knob when adding the emg-81. Along with this comes the Jackson official molded hardshell case, which can no longer be obtained separately (you only get it if you buy the much more expensive ke2). Can be pushed more with the addition of an overdrive. Date is verified by Pete Cage who worked on the chassis. Which can be shown on the receit. This amp has totally been restored. When i received it it had no tolex and it was painted. I had the tolex redone by Steve of Crusty Cabs. The chassis was worked on by Pete Cage from Cage amplifiers. The electrolytic caps were replaced due to the age and the tube sockets were replaced as well. It has all of the original pre-amp tubes. The knobs and faceplate were replaced as well. Also casters were added for the mobility. I still have all of the original parts that i received and will include them in the sale. The grille cloth was replaced when i received it.
