Clinical trial and microbiology experience is a definite plus. Our database analyst position is different than a database analyst position in another industry. We are in an FDA regulated environment so we must document everything we do. For example, we do a lot of data cleaning/cleansing to ensure the accuracy of the data and each time we correct a data point we must also document this correction. The Analyst will go through our regulated process of cleaning our clinical trial data to make sure it is accurate, coding of our case report forms to work in Teleform (script is similar to Visual Basic), and make possible modifications to a database based on decisions made by a lead database analyst.
