It is great that we have such a hidden "retreat" and yet it is very convenient to the downtown hospitals, businesses, colleges, and night life. We are also very convenient to Towson and White Marsh and there are plenty of grocery stores, malls, restaurants, and "Marts" nearby. The suite rents for $1200 per month which includes all utilities, cable television, and wireless internet. It is fully furnished with tasteful decor and is very peaceful and relaxing. Read St. has a great subculture, with bars (including a very friendly, affordable one), eateries (I *love* Donna's), and boutiques. The Purple Circular is a block away, and I saw several other bus routes stop in the immediate neighborhood. The Washington Monument is nearby, but not so close that you can't find street parking. I haven't had a problem finding parking, even later at night. It's a short walk to the Rail, maybe 6 minutes, so it's in a good spot for public transportation. The apartment is on the 2nd floor, on the rear side of the building, so it's much quieter I think than street-side. Fire escape with easy window access - I would sit out on the 'escape and drink my coffee there. The kitchen has clever storage and is surprisingly great to cook in. It has a wider hallway than any I saw when I initially went apartment hunting in Baltimore. Several coat hook strips are installed on the walls for extra storage. I loved the great walk-in closet with deep shelves. Gas oven, large newer refrigerator, a/c installed in a window, charming cast iron sink/counter space.
