Although very close to the great city of Boston and only 5 minutes to the most robust shopping area in the State (Rte 9/Natick Mall shopping district), the suburb is very rural (think lakes, farms, lots of preservation land, etc). It's arguably the closest town of this character to Boston and hence its vast appeal. The best feature is a large attached 10'x24' four season porch with windows on three sides overlooking the water, allowing for picturesque views of the lake and all the surroundings. I am looking to rent my studio timeshare at the Pelican Resort in St. Maarten <a href="http://www.royalresorts.com/pelican-resort.asp" rel="nofollow">http://www.royalresorts.com/pelican-resort.asp</a> <br> <br> I have a studio unit, B225. I will be honest, the unit does not have a "view", you do have a patio you can sit out on. The "decor" of the room is not cutting edge, kind of 80's... you are 40 steps to the pool(the "B" pool as it is called has a pool bar and HAPPY HOUR!) and you also have grilling area to cook out on if you choose. The unit sleeps 2 in a king size bed, you have a fully stocked kitchen (micro, stove/oven, dishwasher, sink, full size fridge with an ice maker and the all important BLENDER!) The bathroom was done over a few years ago shower no tub, there is as safe in the room, and the resort has free wireless internet. There is a TV with remote and you get HBO and I think showtime and network channels. <br> <br> You do not have to leave the resort if you do not want to-there are the pools, a beach, an Argentinean Steakhouse, a French Pastry shop, 2 jewelry stores, a mini grocery store (reasonably priced!) that also carries wine, beer and liquor! There is a Casino (no Mohegan Sun, but fun all the same!) and the resort has a marina that you can rent jet ski's go snorkeling, diving or take day trips to Anguilla or Saba. The resort also offers evening booze cruises for $10.00 including all the rum punch, beer or wine you want! They also run shopping trips and beach trips for 13.00 (that was last years price) If you decide you want to leave the resort, the island has 32 beaches all beautiful!!!
