I don't want to move into an ALL BLACK/ALL MEXICAN neighborhood, however, I don't mind mixed. I run the apartments I'm looking at though a Watchdog website and there seems to be black sex offenders in all of them. Can anyone give me any information regarding GOOD neighborhoods near Evanston, near the "L", near the lake, near a grocery store, and near an elementary school? I don't want a high rise. I certainly don't want the ghetto and I'd like a fairly crime-free area. I know it seems like I'm asking for a lot but its very important to me. Every place seems to be listed by a Muhommad, Deepak, Singh or Raji. You know they could care less about who they rent to, they're only in it for the money. I'm certainly not a racist but facts are facts. What the hell happened while I've been away?]]>

The things they see and hear worry me so badly. I am on section 8, but I promise you I am a neatfreak and my kids know it. The house will be kept clean and any minor damages caused by us will be fixed we will not even bother you (there hasn't been anything except some scuffing on the walls and carpet marks but I repainted and had the carpets cleaned). My kis are all good students, polite and well-mannered. i am a student at IUN and I work part time. I do not drink or do drugs and no one of that sort is ever allowed around my kids. I do not associate with criminals or bad people. It is basically just me and my kids all the time. I do have a daughter as well who lives with her dad since he has only 2 stepdaughters and it is easier for her there without her brothers tormenting her. So I need the landlord to know she is with me ALOT and this is why I ask for the bigger homes. Sec 8 will not let me rent a 4br even though my daughter stays with me every weekend, all summer, every school break, and every off day. So if anyone has a 3br with maybe a small den or a nice basement where I can make her a room..please let me know. My husband and are in need of housing in the Chicago area for 5 nights sometime between January and May, 2009. For use of your place for five nights, we are offering the use of our place in Baja California Sur Mexico, located near Cabo San Lucas for 1 week. We own a vacation home immediately south of the small town of Los Barriles located 104 kilometers north of Cabo San Lucas Mexico, and about 60 kilometers north of the San Jose del Cabo (SJD) airport. The house has a separate studio apartment located above the garage. The apartment is what I would like to swap. It is 100 yards off the beach, sleeps 4, and has a beautiful view of the Sea of Cortez. The apartment has a fully equipped kitchen, a television, vcr/dvd player and even a picnic basket for that impromptu picnic at the beautiful secluded beach. The private staircase leads to an outside roof top dining room with spectacular panoramic views. The roof top patio is approximately 2000 square feet and has the table as well as chairs for lounging and watching the waves during the day and stars at night. Los Barriles has several nice restaurants, taco stands, a couple grocery stores, and a gas station. The south Baja is very popular for deep-sea fishing. In Los Barriles, you can rent a boat for the day, and go catch a 300 lbs marlin. Los Barriles also has several places that rent 4-wheelers. Rent a 4-wheeler, and explore miles and miles of mountainous trails around the city. This area is also very popular for water sports like windsurfing & kite surfing. A short distance south of the house is a coral reef that is a lot of fun to go snorkeling in. Los Barriles also has a driving range. This area is off the beaten path. Avoid the crowds of tourists in Cabo. Los Barriles is laid back, and most of the time you can have the beach all to yourself. At nighttime, you can retire to the rooftop patio for a glass of wine or margarita, and see millions of stars. Truly breathtaking.
