He likes to keep communal areas neat and appreciates occasional help cleaning. <br> <br> <br> About the Condo: The condo is three floors with a bedroom on top, a big kitchen/living room in the middle, and another bedroom and bathroom below--that's the part for rent. This setup affords a lot of privacy. The bedroom is a full 10x10 with a closet and window, and best of all you would have a full bathroom to yourself--see picture. Laundry is in unit. Aesthetic highlights include the same nice floors and countertops you see everywhere, some funky wall art, a working record player and record collections, and plenty of fridge space—which is also a practical highlight. I wish I could throw in "vintage" somewhere, but it's just plain new. Everything works. It's quite nice, really. <br> <br> <br> Location: The building is located in a residential neighborhood east of Ashland at the crossing with Chicago Ave. The Chicago stop on the blue line is in walking distance, and buses along Chicago and Ashland can take you everywhere day and night. If you drive, the neighborhood is heaven. It's part of the reason I moved here: the Kennedy is just blocks away, and there is always street parking in the neighborhood. UIC is directly south; the magnificent mile and the Water Tower campus of Loyola are directly west. Jewell and Whole Foods are both up Ashland Ave, Dominick's down Chicago Ave. Plenty of dining and nightlife is right on Chicago Ave., including local coffee shops (Mercury Cafe), hopping bars (Five Star, The Pharmacy), restaurants (Natalino’s, The Green Zebra, West Town Tavern), and some of the most beloved Mexican restaurants in the city (El Barco, La Pasadita). <br> <br> <br> You: I’ve lived with a wide array of people (okay, no Icelanders yet, but many other ethnicities, genders, and sexualities) and have gotten along great with all of them.
