CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform molecular biology assays including preparation of DNA, RNA, cloning and protein purification, PCR, Northern and Western blots, immunofluorescence microscopy and virus preparation; carry out experiments in cell and molecular biology, maintain tissue culture and assist in biological studies of viruses; labeling probes with radioactivity; order and maintain lab supplies; keep lab notebooks; data analysis/reporting; assist in the management of the laboratory, including training new personnel; perform other related duties as assigned.
