<![CDATA[Hello. My fiance and I are getting married next September. We are still securing the exact date and location, but it will be within thirty miles of Columbia. We have a very small wedding budget (well under $1,000 for both the photography and videography) and are only going to have about 50 guests. We are looking for a quality photographer or team of photographers that can take both candid and posed shots of the ceremony and reception as well as a videographer to do the same. We would need you for 5-6 hours. We would want to purchase digital copies of all of your work as well as the rights to it. Because we can't pay much, we are willing to consider a student or an amateur who has proven him/herself with a high quality sampling of photos taken. The following email went out today to all the responses we have received so far: Hello! Thank you for responding to our ad on Craigslist. As we have received multiple responses, we are sending this form email out to all of you so that we may determine which of you most closely matches our needs. First, a little about us: we live in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, approximately 550 miles north of Columbia, SC. We are getting married in South Carolina because I grew up there, and my family still lives there. We will be down a few times between now and September to sure up plans and would hope that you will be available during the week of Thanksgiving for us to get to meet you. We plan to get married next September, possibly on a Saturday, but more likely on a Friday. We have not yet secured our reception location, but we can guarantee you that we will not choose anywhere that is more than thirty miles outside of Columbia, so you have a good general idea of where it will be. We plan to have a small, outdoor ceremony and an indoor reception for approximately 50 guests. Of course, you will be more than welcome to eat dinner with us at the reception. We would like to have 1) One photographer and one videographer while we are getting ready, to do candid shots of the both of us and our very small wedding party 2) Two photographers and possibly two videographers during the actual ceremony 3) One photographer for formal, posed shots 4) Two photographers and possibly two videographers during the first part (perhaps just the first hour) of the reception 5) One photographer and one videographer to stay for another hour or two at the reception. We would love for the videographer to interview our guests at this time. This basically means that we need one photographer and one videographer to come in an hour before the ceremony, sit through the ceremony, take posed shots, join us at the reception. This is approximately 5 hours worth of work. We need a second set to come in as the ceremony is beginning. They can break while we’re doing posed shots and then join us for an hour or two at the reception. This is approximately only 2-3 hours of work. It could also be switched around so that the second set stays and the first goes home. Now, this of course, is the ideal. If we can get four people that are all really interested and willing to work with us for what little we can offer, then we’ll go this route. If not, we’ll figure it out. Just please let us know what part you could play or if perhaps you work as a team as I know some of you do. Just keep in mind that in the end, we really just want the files and the copyrights to them. The catch is that we want great photos and lots of them!
