We called Lowe's and asked them how to appropriately measure a door and well received wrong instructions, but didn't realize it until after we had already bought the door, rented a truck, brought it home and dropped the truck back off. The door is approximately between 1/4 of an inch and 1/2 of an inch too large for the frame. I am not sure if the frame could be modified or if we need another new door. If we would need another door, then we are looking for someone who could bring the right sized door and hang it as well. We have the hardware from the last door except a door handle, which we could purchase and install ourselves. Please respond via email and let me know the cost for installing the door we have and modifying the frame (if it is feasible) or bringing a door and installing a new door without modifying the frame.
