Sure I came to work with a bullet hole in the window from where I looked out upon, but, this blond haired, blue eyed, Bette Middler look-a-like was well received within the area. Within 4 weeks, from January 10th to February 10th I had earned, for this company $68,000 in fees. This same store only earned $12,500 the previous year. The total amount earned for the entire 2007 tax season was in excess of $150,000. I took this franchised store to 5th in the nation for 2nd year stores. However, this is just the tip of the iceberg for tax preparation services. The number one, 2nd year store did over 275,000 during those same 4 weeks. I am not interested in a franchise with this company, I do not agree with the employment tactics that are "business as usual" with this company. Nor am I interested in paying a percentage, branding or not. I am not looking to play with the big boys, but I would like to have a sliver of the pie. I have all contacts from last year’s customer base, and I have a large Hispanic market also that is waiting in the wings.
