Originally developed by myself at Ashton Drake Galleries in Chicago, it has never been used. It was sold sometime in the late 1990's. This is 'furniture' and not a flimsy piece, but substantial. Wooden with three glass shelves measuring 13-inches long and 3-inches wide. Black velvet background. Brass hinges and brass knob. Front and sides are clear glass for looking from all angles. Nice european gold trim around the door matching the knob. You can hang it on the wall or use it free standing. The hardware for hanging is attached to the back. You can see on her waist where her tights have been on her for 30 years in the same spot and there is a small indentation in her cloth body!! (This will go away but it does show she has truly never been played with.) The tag is marked 1978, the travel case is dated 1981. The patterns have never been used. They are patterns for a Gaucho Outfit and a Reversible Vest. The doll has also been stored all this time in a smoke and pet free home!! The box does show some signs of age but nothing drastic. There are two tears on the left side, the cellophane plastic cover is loose in places and there is some discoloration on the back bottom. Doll clothes are in excellent condition.
