For sale is a beautiful Candy Apple Red 1957 (Re-Issue) Fender Stratocaster. I believe this is a non export model. It has never been on a live gig. I used it for (2) guitar solos in a Florida Studio, and it has spent most of it's life in the case since. This guitar is very light, I was told it weighs 6.75 lbs. My bathroom scale says: "7.0" Either way it is light. The case with key is included. I have been told that these "Crafted in Japan" strats are like Japanese Custom Shop pieces, and this one is a fine example of Craftsmanship.

Bought this keyboard brand new over the summer because I was continuing in my music major. Switched to english, no longer have any practical use for this keyboard. Great condition. When I bought it, the highest level of volume makes a few of the keys sound a little strange, I think the volume level is just too hard on the speakers. But trust me, you don't want to play on the highest level anyway. Just turn it down once or twice and she plays like a dream but is plenty loud.

For sale is my Ibanez SA36. I've owned the guitar for about a year and a half. It's a great guitar and I love it.. Only reason I'm selling it is because I'm in college and need money, and seeing as how I barely even look at it anymore it seems only logical to sell it.

It currently has PRS .0095 strings that have only been on it for a month. All of the electrics are stock. Body is a charcoal wood color and is in great condition, except for one minor scuff near the pickup selector, but it is barely noticeable. Head and neck are both straight.

I am selling my Blues Deluxe as I only use my Twin for gigs anymore. This is a great amp, 40 watts and sounds just like you would hope it would. Great tone!!! Go to the website here http://www.ampwares.com/amp.asp?id=33 and check it out if you are not familiar with this amp. I gigged with this amp for years but have been using my Twin exclusively for the last five years or so. I am raising some cash to buy another Strat. This amp is in true gig shape. By that I mean it has nicks and scratches and the tweed has a few stains on it. You know how bar gigs go :) But it plays and works great. Due to the visual condition I am letting it go for less than it is worth. $350 is a good price for an amp like this. I am attaching one picture but I have lots more. Email me and I can send them. I bought it about eight years ago and don't have the time anymore to play it much. I want to buy another Strat so I am parting with it. It is in good shape and I only gigged with it a few times. I am selling my beloved Hammond XK-2 as I am solely focused on guitar now and have stopped gigging as a keyboard player. This is the best Hammond B3 emulator I know of. They are hard to find and there is little option to go with a new Hammond board unless you want to drop $2k on an XK-3. The XK-2 is now discontinued. The XK-2 uses the same sound generation equipment as the XK-3 but the XK-2 does not have all of the bells and whistles. Check out http://www.hammond-organ.com/Products/_deleted/html/XK2.htm to hear some demos. This board really plays like a B-3. There is a real Leslie connector and I am throwing in the expression pedal which is a must have. Price is pretty firm as this is a fair price for this keyboard. I paid more for it four years ago. I gigged pretty steady with this board and it has some nicks and marks. But it plays and works great. You will love this keyboard. I am attaching only one picture as the craigslist can't hold four at this resolution. Let me know and I can email you many more. Let me know if you are interested. |

I have 3 items for sale that i just dont use and would like to sell them all together if possible. My Epiphone Limited Edition Les Paul Custom, my Line 6 Spider III 75 75W 1x12 Guitar Combo Amp, and my DigiTech RP250 Guitar Multi Effects Pedal are all for sale. (along with a guitar strap)

These retail new for 700, 300, and 150 respectively for a total of 1150 total new. I am asking 700 because that is what i paid for them, and i dont play them so id like to at least get my investment back.

While there is nothing wrong with the way the epiphone plays (it all feels, plays and sounds exactly as it should) it is marked "used" on the back of the headstock which usually means it is a factory 2nd. Im telling you this because the guy who sold it to me didnt and it kind of pissed me off. I did however find the area it was rejected for was under the truss rod cover wasnt attached correctly and it looks a little sloppy under there when u look under there but fine with the cover on. this is the only problem that ive found. No scratches, dings, nics, discolerations, electrical or sound issues. Actually its a pretty sweet guitar for the price. By the way it has absolutely new light gauge strings on it.

There are absolutely no problems at all with the effects pedal and modeling amp. Again i prefer to sell them all together- which would be great for a gift to anyone starting out or would like to make the transition to electric. I would entertain reasonable offers on the guitar alone. I welcome your questions just email me.

I have a 1989 Fender Strat MIA in amazing condition. I purchased the guitar a couple years ago, and it was in immaculate condition. It seemed like it had been kept in its case the entire time before I bought it. It has a beautiful rosewood fretboard, and all original parts. I did however switch out the white pick guard (parchment looking from age) to a light mint green. I have the original that I can put back on or include it. It also has the whammy bar and original hard shell fender case. This guitar is very quiet, and it plays like a dream. Its setup right now with 10's. I am looking to get $600, and would like a fairly quick sale. I am fir on the price because I think its very fair for the guitar you are getting.

Ampworks contains eleven coveted guitar amp sounds

Cabinet models sweeten your tone potential
Ampworks provides eleven different models of cabinet and speaker configurations. Every detail of cabinet resonance is faithfully simulated, delivering superb depth and spatial realism even when using headphones or direct-line output.

For each amp model, ideal tone settings (including the cabinet model and ideal effect) have been preset. Since these eleven preset programs are selected automatically when you choose an amp model, you can immediately start playing with the optimal amp sound. You can also store your own favorite settings in the two user area programs.
Knob-based interface for intuitive editing
Like a conventional analog amp, operation is simply a matter of turning the knobs. Not just the tone controls, but all amp, cabinet and effect settings are selected using dedicated knobs, so creating the sound you want is intuitive and fast. Delay time, reverb time, and LFO speed settings can be made using the convenient Tap button. There's also a Manual mode that detects the physical position of the knobs, giving you visual confirmation of the sound.

I'm just a regular guy musician like the rest of you and I'd like to try to help other musicians avoid the same recording mistakes others make.

I don't know about you but I regularly see some of the most desperate low cost studios advertising on Craigslist. There's a reason their rates are low. Think about it. Low-end gear and limited training and experience are a few reasons that first come to mind. They'll tell you how they make up for the low-end gear with their engineering and usually include something about how great their ears are to compensate for their lack of pro equipment. So let me get this straight...These guys are better engineers than guys with years of training and experience that run the best studios in town and they are going to get you as good or better recording on less than stellar equipment. Doesn't make sense does it?

So even with low rates you could be just throwing your money away when you don't go to a good studio. I talk to bands all the time who first went to a low cost studio and then after a bad experience tried a pro studio. At the Pro studio they were overwhelmed by how much better they sounded and found the cost to be. Dudes and dudettes I hear this all the time. Take it from others who have been there. Go to a pro studio if you are serious about getting a good recording.

Before I list the studios I first want to say that while I know quite a bit about a lot of the studios in Columbus I doubt anyone would have all the information on all the studios. I mostly include studios with a long standing reputation coupled with experienced engineering and a list of quality gear. I am generally cautious about any studio charging less than $35 an hour although I am aware of several studios charging $35 or more that just aren't worth it. There are some studios that charge by the song which is not an industry standard practice and is usually a sign of a desperate unprofessional studio. I also prefer Protools HD3 or greater. There are a lot of Protools LE studios out there and the quality difference is very significant. This is reflected in the fact that HD cost more than 10 times what LE costs. I wasrecently referred to Digidesign's website by a local studio owner and discovered that Protools LE is not even listed under their professional systems category. Digidesign rightly considers LE and native systems to be consumer grade gear verses pro level gear. With that said, don't misunderstand me I'm not trying to say that LE is no good. Howver, it takes a great engineer on LE to get a good recording but a good engineer on HD can get a great recording while a great engineer can get a phenominal recording. The problem is few people using LE are really that good. Some of the studios I list are using LE (as noted) but are capable of getting pro quality sound but could be even better with HD.

Grouped in Alphabetical order...Here's a list of good studios you can use with confidence:

Amerisound (Not Protools HD but Does great with bands and Jingles on a highly Professional Level - super nice staff - great for a variety of musical styles)

Blue Moon (Not Protools HD but very impressive recordings - great gear and decent rooms. They definitely know what they are doing and have a history that proves it)

Rome Recording (Protools HD - New Location, No longer has Jeff Farner but recording quality is better than its ever been. In large Nashville style house but very comfortable atmosphere and excellent acoustics - control room is larger than their old place - Killer mic collection and drum kit - generally does rock, gospel, country and a lot of Christian material - one of the most honest easy to work with guys in this business - also offers engineer training and help for home studios guys)

Sonic Lounge (Protools HD - Beautiful Newer Studio run by longtime experienced engineer Joe Viers, one of the very best in Columbus and former engineer of John Schwab studios - Fantastically built rooms and killer gear - probably the best hard rock and metal studio around - Joe has an excellent ear for drums. (Considered by most to be the best drum engineer in Columbus)

These studios seem to be upper end quality but I only have limited knowledge on them:

Central City Recording (Protools HD - Newer Studio - pretty good rooms with great gear but am not sure about engineering)

John Schwab (Protools HD - Recent engineering Changes but I hear new engineer is quite good even though he's not Joe Viers - Nice Large Live room, great gear)

Another option that I forgot to mention is that you can buy some of your own recording equipment and get some training to record yourself. In the end this will probably cost more than paying a studio but could offer many other advantages. Some studios like Rome Recording and Central City will help you record things you can't do on your own and mix for you if you want. Most of these studios can help with mastering as well. This is where you can record in Protools LE and take it to a Protools HD studio and vastly improve the quality by mixing it on HD.

BTW, There are several other studios that are excellent quality but don't focus on bands as much so they can be pricy or less suited to recording bands.

Power Plant (Focuses more on Video and higher rates for audio, but does offer excellent quality)

Mills James (One of Columbus' finest studios but they don't do bands and will refer you to someone else. They sent me to Rome Recording)

Circa Production (Also one of the best studios in town and to my knowledge doesn't do bands or isn't optimized for them - focus is on corporate work)

There are several top notch private studios in town running Protools HD but most are not available to the general public. Some are owned by top musicians in Columbus.

Most of the smaller private places that aren't running Protools HD wouldn't be considered professional. There are a couple Protools HD studios not mentioned that I wouldn't trust due to lack of experience and unprofessional practices. I prefer not to name them so I just won't list them.

As I go over this list I should mention that some of these guys are newer studios and may have rates that are actually too low for the amount of equipment they have to pay for. I only mention this because while they offer great value I am thinking they will have to raise rates at some point or may have a difficult time staying in business. No matter what studio you choose just make sure you get your tracks on a hard drive when you are finished just to be safe.

About Audio Samples...Don't get hung up on samples and place a lot of stock in them. Samples don't mean much as most people hear the quality of the musicianship not the quality of the recording. There are also many variables in the mix that a good engineer will adjust to the requests of the band. Instrument prominence in the mix and the tone of the instruments will also change depending on the focus of each song. Visit one of these studios and if you're comfortable with the studio and the staff you can feel safe with any of these mentioned above.

What I have stated here are my experiences in an effort to help other musicians. This is not intended to be an all inclusive list but should help other musicians looking for a good studio. Please don't ask me to add studios because I will only add what I know to be true. Do your own list if you want to add. However, I think opinions will be more accurate from the people who have been to multiple studios for comparison and really understand recording.

I am looking for an electric guitar for my 13 year old son. I saw one on here not too long ago that had skulls on it and would love to get something like that for him. Can't afford too much being a single mom and all. I bought one off here and was told it worked and when I got it home and gave it to him for his birthday back in March it didn't work. Went out and bought an amp and all but there is no sound coming out of it. So got ripped off for that. So please don't rip me off again, can't afford much as it is and would really like to give him one this time that will work.

He is a skull nut and a wrestling nut so anything that goes with those would be perfect but will take whatever I can afford to buy him.
Please send me a pic along with how much you are asking for it and I will get back with you.

I am located in the Whitehall area and work in the Dublin area.
Cymbal description:

This is a 20 inch late 50's old style stamp IV K Zildjian Istanbul hand hammerd ride.
The weight(weighed on a professional grade scale) is 2336 grams
Heavey hammering is evident and looks wonderful.

Absolutely no key holeing...ALWAYS used with felts and plastic sleave. Perfect.(Just take a look)
No edge dings at all..Perfect.
No dings/dents/cracks anywhere.

This cymbal is also not warped in any way.It was placed on the glass table to check it,(see the pic)
A wonderful patina almost 60 years old cymbal that is to die for...It has never been cleaned since the day it was bought.

Here is the the most spectacular feature about this cymbal other than the tone.

The ORIGINAL MAKER/INSPECTORS SIGNATURE IS TOTALLY INTACT ON THE UNDER SIDE OF THE BELL!
Also proving the provenance and originality of this spectacular sounding cymbal.
Tone:
I am going to spare you with all the "typical" adjectives.

I will just say this is the best sounding ride/old K I have ever heard(beyond exceptional and the tone is as "expected"). My "real" drummer friends have confirmed this as well and have insisted that I keep it.
However.....This cymbal is beyond me,,,I am a second class drummer and someone who knows what this cymbal is and could use it(or put it in your collection) is who deserves it.

Now for the ONLY drawback to this cymbal."D" etched his name and SS# on the bottom side of the cybal near the bell.

It was NOT ETCHED DEEP AND IS VERY SUBTLE...Everybody that I have shown the cymbal to never saw it unless I pointed it out.
I am 100% sure this subtle etching does not effect the tone or structural integrity of the cymbal. However, I know that it does slightly effect price.

This vintage cymbal has every attribute that any body would ever want in a Istanbul K...Tone/patina/mint/relatively light/the hard to come by original signature.

The ONLY issue is the ss#/name etching...once again, it is subtle, generally cannot be seen unless pointed out. Rub your figer across it...Yes, you can feel it is there......But VERY SHALLOW. A closeup of the stamp has been requested. I have references and credentials to back this sale, let me know if you need them. Email me for FULL SIZE PICS/ closeups.(Including a full blown coseup of the K stamp and the signature on the underside of the bell. It looks much more spectacular in the full size pics.
Item is described very accurately.

Email mewith any questions, I will answer them. We can then exchange phone numbers and emails and talk other details. References provided.
My price reflects a compromise between all the features/tone..Yet with the etching.(one on Eb*y sold recently for 2700-

Thanks!
