<![CDATA[JOB A NNOUNCEMENT <br> <br> <br> TITLE: Rocky Mountain Youth Housing Program Case Manager <br> SUPV: Housing Coordinator <br> <br> RESPONSIBILITIES: The Rocky Mountain Youth Housing Program (RMYHP) Case Manager is essentially responsible for the supervision of youth’s independent living situation at an Urban Peak and Denver Department of Human Services apartment collaboration on Ogden Street. This position assures safety of the youth and provides program services that are appropriate and effective for youth living in apartment units, other subsidized housing or independent living arrangements. Specifically, this includes supervision of youth, case management, group facilitation, youth assessments, crisis phone counseling, client documentation, data collection and ensuring that the program is facilitated in a manner that accommodates youth safety and the delivery of appropriate and effective services. In transitioning the youth into a housing program collaborates with Denver Human Services and must work closely with the Clinical Manager, Project Coordinator and on-site staff. Attendance is required at regularly scheduled housing meetings and staffings as well as other related trainings and program meetings, local community meeting and resident council meetings. Additionally, regular floor coverage in the shelter milieu (a rotating on call schedule, some evenings, holidays and weekends periodically) are also required. <br> <br> QUALIFICATIONS: Required: consistent exercise of discretion and independent judgment in the performance of duties; good problem solving skills; ability to handle multiple tasks and assess and change priorities based upon agency and client needs; specific skills and abilities in working with a resistant youth population, usually acquired through a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (such as psychology, social work, or sociology) and at least one (1) year of experience working with high risk adolescent populations. Also required are the ability to connect well and work with a diverse and resistant street youth population, an understanding of a therapeutic milieu environment and the ability and desire to work within a crisis intervention agency, excellent written and verbal communication skills and general computer skills. This position is in the Downtown Environment Department and was created as a result of the property owners’ vote for enhanced services within the Business Improvement District (BID). While under the supervision of the Manager, BID Operations, the Downtown Service Representative (DSR) works with the Downtown Service Coordinator (DSC) within the 120-block service area of the BID to ensure contract compliance by the various contractors employed by the BID as well as address “quality of life” issues in this area. The DSR is required to ensure contractor compliance outside of the 120-block service area when the BID enters into a contract to operate in other areas. The DSR interacts with a variety of City and County personnel, private property owners, and residents of and visitors to Denver. <br> <br> REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES: <br> 1.
