They hate to do this because I'm a huge part of their lives, but they know someone will love me just as much. I love to play and run, so you have to have time and tons of energy. I will need lots of patience with training too. I'm pretty thick headed sometimes. I get along with some dogs (I'm alfa) and kids very well. Not to sure about cats and other small animals though, never been around them. I'm a very good friend and protector too. I always let my family know if someone is approching the house. I do jump a lot, but I'm learning to calm down a little when company comes. I love to chew on my ropes and toys too, so tennis balls and frisbies get put up after I'm done. I've had my cat for 15 years...he has always been quite well behaved, until the last couple of years. The issues we've been having do not happen all the time. He can be really good for several weeks -- and then other times he'll climb into the litter box (which is ALWAYS cleaned regularly/daily), and not turn around -- thus peeing outside the box (it's a covered box), even tho' he turns to p**p inside the box. I cannot believe how many people cannot spell the name of the breed of animal they have. Secondly, I'm a Vet Tech and have been for many years. Just because an animal becomes incontinent, it does not necessarily mean his or her body is slowly shutting down. There are several other things that could be wrong, and could be treated successfully, sometimes very easily, including a urinary tract infection (which is common in older dogs), stones, and incontinence in older The only way to know the reason for incontinence is a veterinary exam, including bloodwork, UA,... I would never abandon one of my animals in their final days and hours. That is extremely selfish. I've seen it way too many times and the one thing that an animal needs above all in his or her final days and hours is a loving family to be there till the end. ]]>

We are very sad to see them go but we need to move and a lot of rentals are not allowing dogs and unfortunately the one we are going to rent is one that will not allow dogs. The first one is a male Border Collie/Corgi mix and he is 4 years old. We have had him since he was 9 weeks old and he is not fixed. He is kennel trained and house broken. He has always been put in the kennel when we leave the house so we are not sure how he does when he is not in the kennel and no one is home, but he has never gone potty in the kennel. He knows many commands and is great with kids and other dogs. The other is a female Sheppard mix. She is 2 years old and is spayed. We adopted her last year and she is microchipped as well so we can give you that info as well.. She is also kennel trained and has also always been in a kennel when we leave the house and has never gone potty in it either. She is also good with kids and other dogs. We would like to have them both go to the same household as they have become such good friends but we also know that we may have to separate them. We are asking a re-homing fee of 100.00 each to insure that they go to a good home. We will also provide for each of them a kennel, water and food bowls, and Collars and leashes. <![CDATA[Chance is about 2 yrs old, we think (give or take) and is still going through the puppy stage. My parents rescued him through an animal shelter in November of 2007. He was picked up as a stray so we don't no anything prior to his adoption. He is a pure bread male Golden Retriever (Strawberry Blond), very sweet, 80 pounds, neutered, micro-chipped, up to date on all shots, housebroken and sleeps like a dream. My parents are in their early 60s and have another Golden mix who is very calm and docile. When they adopted Chance they thought that he was going to be the same as they thought all Goldens were low energy etc. They found out differentley:) Chance is a super sweet dog but is very hyper (mostly attributed to his age) and is simply too much for my parents to handle due to health issues. He has mellowed since they first got him and has gone through Puppy Obedience Class through Petsmart. He knows how to sit, shake, stay (the basics) but will definitely need a lot more training, attention and tons of exercise! He was good with the other dogs in his obedience class and of course their other dog but has never truly been socialized (daycare, dog park etc.) He does seem to want to be the Alpha male, so this should be taken into consideration. We do not know if he is good with kids or cats. I think he will really make a great companion to someone who is patient and active and that can provide the proper training for him and include him in a lot of activities. A family would be great as long as the kids were older and could respect him and not pull on him etc. He is a very sweet and loving dog and a typical Golden as he likes to sit on your feet, sit on your lap (even though he is 80 pounds) and enjoys sleeping with the family if allowed. He is in a very loving home now so we are not looking for just another home but for the person, couple or family that can provide the absolute best for him. If your dog isn't used to seeing people of different colors they may be shy or aggressive towards them just like a dog that has never seen a child.]]>
