Warren's fabulous watercolors will be our feature through OCTOBER 31ST, so please stop by to see the show. Congratulations to house artist MIGUEL VARELA for receiving 'BEST IN SHOW' with his artwork "LA FLAUTA" at the Arts International Show, currently at the Downtown El Paso Library. It is an excellent exhibition. This Sunday OCTOBER 12TH from 3 - 4 PM CONNIE WEAVER will be giving a Gallery Talk and Acrylic Painting Demonstration. Admission is free. Refreshments will be served. ART EL PASO 2008 at BASSETT PLACE OCTOBER 17TH - 19TH. DEADLINE: YOUR ENTRY PROSPECTUS AND FEES NEED TO BE SUBMITTED BY 6 PM THIS COMING SATURDAY, OCTOBER 11TH. Please call 633-8870 if you need a time extension to get to the Gallery, but we will need final numbers by then. Remember - a 7' x 4' panel is just $25.00 for the three days. There will be supervised tables with boxes for prints available, included in entry. This will be a great exhibition and sale. OPENING RECEPTION IS ON FRIDAY OCTOBER 17th from 5 - 8 PM, in the presence of the artists and the guaranteed purchasers/sponsors. Participating artists interested in giving demonstrations, or helping as volunteers for a couple of hours during the weekend please contact me. The Gallery will be holding a CHRISTMAS FAIR on NOVEMBER 28TH, 29TH AND 30TH. This is Thanksgiving weekend. Tables are available at $25.00 per day. Please contact the Gallery for details. ART CLASSES - I am receiving a lot of inquiries about art classes at the Gallery. If you are interested in either holding or attending classes please contact me. Currently I give a class on Tuesday evenings, and Sally Avant will be having an encaustic painting class here - final details yet to be arranged. I've had it for a long time and tried it on ebay and people looked alot and kept a watch on it and sent messages about it but ended up shutting down their account. These necklaces were made by me. all the stones were imported from Kameyab imports. www.kibeads.com. Some of the beads are just glass and sterling silver. Some of these necklaces range from $3.00 - $200.00. If you look on the site you will see why my stuff is expensive. The stones they sell are not cheap at all.
