<![CDATA[Seeking a full-time and experienced network telecom analyst to work at the El Paso Intelligence Center (EPIC). Candidates must be a U. S. Citizen able to receive both a DoD and DOJ security clearances. Primary responsibilities will include: 1. Perform installations, update and maintenance of new and existing telecommunication systems and networks ensuring appropriate interfaces. 2. Projects involve integrating a variety of media and communications-electronics equipment for one or more Information Technology (IT) information systems, which includes security, firewalls, routers, telecommunications, automation, audio-visual, printing and publications, and records management. 3. Troubleshoot, identify, repair and/or replace faulty network system components. 4. Identify and correct malfunctions and/or other operational problems. 5. Perform cable installations. 6. Perform network system monitoring, testing and servicing in order to meet customer requirements. 7. Monitor network interface and traffic statuses to provide early detection and isolation of issues. 8. Perform checks to ensure proper operation and security. 9. Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on various types of network equipment. 10. Duties require a professional knowledge of computer sciences; knowledge of the principles, practices, and techniques of computer engineering; knowledge of the capabilities and limitations of a variety of information systems equipment pertaining to transmission systems and/or data systems; some knowledge of research and development activities to integrate new technologies or equipment; and knowledge in related policies, laws, and regulations • Certified network Engineer (CNE) and hardware specific certifications preferred • Experience working with network systems and networking principles and practices • Experience working with networking software and hardware • Experience working with security systems and implementation procedures Basic Qualifications: 1. Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience 2. Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field preferred 3. Two or more years of network or system experience in a large mainframe/alternate platform environment 4. Experience working with various networks, applications and systems 5. Candidates must be a U. S. We need several telecom, cabling, and networking subcontractors on a continuing basis to do our installation and repair work in El Paso and the surrounding area. These are individual jobs at sites that need installation and/or repair of telephone and data systems or voice/data cable installation. Tech should have experience with high speed internet issues for repair and installation. We also occasionally have a need for cable tv and audio/visual techs and techs that work with POS. We do commercial work only. THIS IS CONTRACT WORK ONLY - WE DO NOT OFFER FULL TIME EMPLOYMENT. You must be available to respond to calls as needed - some same day, most next day or a couple of days out.
