<![CDATA[<b>Duties:</b> Collaborate with the Web Services team to develop web-based applications and web pages for HPU’s external and internal websites. Provide technical and programming expertise for the creation, review, and update of Web-based applications for HPU’s Website, Intranet, and special projects; manage the course web page template program operations; manage the servers supporting the course web pages; manage assist in setting policies regarding acquisition, installation, licensing, and maintenance of hardware and software related to the use of the online educational tools; install and coordinates upgrades and patches for various educational web services; create and develop applications that allow HPU to provide more web-based services for users; integrate web components using latest tools and technologies; ensure systems and equipment security, and investigate security breaches; and hire, supervise, evaluate, and counsel part-time staff.

<b>Qualifications: </b>Minimum requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Instructional Technology, or a related field; three years experience in web site programming, application development, and design; one year experience administering complex applications; professional experience with various web technologies, including HTML, Cold Fusion, PHP (OOP), JavaScript, ActionScript, Flex, Javascript, MSSQL, and MySQL, framework experience a plus; LAMP; IIS management, Windows Server management; API integration, Single Sign On methodology, Linux Shell Scripting, Ability to manage Linux using command line; and strong commitment to customer service; and excellent interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills also required. Able to work weekday, evening, weekends and holiday hours as scheduled. Four years experience in a web site development field; working knowledge with WebCT, Sunguard Banner and/or Luminis Pipeline technologies; knowledge of educational software and applications; experience working in an academic or training environment using multimedia and network technologies to develop instructional or administrative applications; and one year supervisory experience desired.
