The objective is to provide system administration support to the U.S. Pacific Command (PACOM). This support includes fine tuning of existing systems, network and system operations and maintenance (O&M), validating enhancement solutions, implementing new operation systems and software enhancements, and provide indirect information assurance support; system administration, monitoring, analysis, trouble-shooting and data back-ups and recovery.

Duties:

Server and Client System Administration including all server and client hardware/software that provides basic network services to include Domain Name Service (DNS), authentication, information management and messaging. These servers and clients will be running various operating systems and client based software to include, but not limited to, Windows 2000, Windows 2003, Active Directory, and Microsoft Exchange.

Supporting the Defense Message System (DMS)/Automated Message Handling System (AMHS), including all AMHS servers, a Multifunction Secure Gateway (MSG) Automated Digital Information Network (AUTODIN) server and management of organizational DMS certificates.
