Job Description:
<br>
Voice and Data Engineer with extensive experience in designing, testing, implementing, and supporting a scalable IP network providing Voice and Data services. This individual will be responsible for the overall implementation, maintenance and support of a high availability, fault tolerant, IP infrastructure including, a carrier-grade VoIP infrastructure as well as an ISP backbone network with multiple POPs and ISP peering points.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
<br>
1. Assist in the planning, design, implementation and daily operation of an ISP Core IP network delivering both voice and data services, including but not limited to SBC development and operations, SIP switch, feature servers, core routing, Asterisk, and IP management, SS migration, DNS and NOC monitoring & Server VMWare.
<br>
2. IP Renumbering and Inventory Management (Equipment, IP Addresses, TN’s, etc.).
<br>
3. Network Topology, Creation and Organization of Core IP and Network Documentation
<br>
4. Network analysis, engineering and network hardware configuration on carrier-grade voice and data networking equipment.
<br>
5. Perform IP hardware, circuit and backbone capacity planning.
<br>
6. Manage core backbone implementation projects.
<br>
7. Coordinate core network equipment and architecture changes.
<br>
8. Document engineering standards and core technology information.
<br>

This individual will be responsible for training technical volunteers to refurbish and prepare computers for adoption, for operating the ‘Learn to Earn’ program and for coordinating of volunteers to assist at the training in computer skills at the ‘Adoption’ sessions offered to motivated children in underserved communities of Houston, Texas. This position directly reports to Comp-U-Dopt 's Executive Director.

The responsibility of the Manufacturing Engineer is to support all manufacturing functions through application of sound engineering and manufacturing principles. The Manufacturing Engineer works closely with internal and external customers and vendors to resolve product and process problems quickly and effectively.
DUTIES
<p>Confer with engineers and other personnel to resolve product Non-Conformances (NCA). Prepare reports to the Engineering Manager for review. Implement system corrections or changes as deemed necessary. Work with operations departments in troubleshooting problems. Receive questions and requests from production personnel, customers, and vendors and provide engineering driven solutions to rapidly resolve problems. Review new and revised drawings for correctness with regards to proper drafting techniques and conformance to Dixie Engineering or industry standards such as API, ASME, NACE, etc. Design, or assist in the design, of equipment for use in testing Dixie manufactured equipment in the Flow Control and Pump product lines. Perform basic stress analysis using analytical and computational methods. Create, format, review, and approve design reviews for Dixie product.</p><p>Additional Required Duties:</p><p>Analyze information and evaluate results to choose the best solution to solve problems. Use computer systems (including hardware and software) to set up functions, enter data, or process information. Observe, receive, and otherwise obtain information from all relevant sources. Provide information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person. Assist Engineering Manager and/or Design Engineer(s) in resolving Corrective Action (CAR) requests. Other duties as assigned by the Engineering Manager. QUALIFICATIONS
<p>B.S. from four-year college in Engineering, or equivalence in experience and education as determined by the Engineering Manager. Minimum of five years of work-related skill, knowledge, or experience. Experience with parametric modeling software, SolidWorks is preferred. Experience in a metal machining/manufacturing environment is a plus.</p><p>Necessary Skills:</p><p>Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of various goods and services. Knowledge of applications of machines and tools in the manufacturing processes. Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, drawings, models, and assembly.
