I run this as a business OVER THE TABLE, pay taxes on what you pay me, so you can claim the childcare tax credits. We have a large, single family home with a GREAT fenced back yard. We DO have one dog and two cats, but they are VERY child friendly. My home is NONSMOKING, safe, very clean, and doesn't smell like animals! Also, your child(ren) will not be cooped up in one room the whole time they are here, they'll have access to all the living areas my children do. It's a family environment, rather than a day care environment – fewer germs! Cloth diapered and breastfed babies welcome, that's what we do here! I believe in gentle discipline with respect for the dignity of the child. I also believe that children need love, hugs, and lots of interaction with positive role models. We love books and manipulative toys! We do not have video games, or cable television, and watch very little television (PBS). My rate is $7 an hour for the first child, and $11 an hour for two children if one is potty trained. They will eat a snack and dinner at daycare but I would like for them to another snack around 7, so when they get home. Homework should be done at daycare...so pretty much get them to change.
