<![CDATA[Drummer in early 40’s - looking for original band (or to put one together). A rough idea of the sound influences are from like... U2, Sting’s projects, INXS, The Fixx, Tears for Fears, Crowded House, Duran Duran, etc... I’m looking for a modern version of the 80’s clean sound associated with those artists (ranging from dreamy, folk strumming to powerful). The current popular songs from U2 and Coldplay are similar to what I would like to aim for. Gigging isn’t a priority. I’m mainly looking to produce music in order to possibly market it. Gigging can start when there is a finished product. Vocalists can be male or female, but nothing screaming or with a southern twang. The guitarist should be able to handle chorus, echo and reverb effects with the strumming, picking and scratch styles... similar to Andy Summers and The Edge (and like the other artists mentioned above). A second guitarist on acoustic would be nice as fill-in when needed (possibly handled by the lead vocalist). The bass player should enjoy the five string and possibly a fretless. The keyboard player should mainly enjoy filling in tactfully with synth background and effects. My drumming style is along the lines of Stewart Copeland’s, with the occasional Neal Peart rhythm or fill. I have the Roland TD-20 V-Pro electronic set with a powerful JBL monitor system to produce its sound. If there isn’t an original band already (like what I just described) just needing me for drums, then this might take some time to put together with multiple Craiglist listings in order to track down all the necessary members. ]]>

They must be a session A players with exceptional skills. We will have around 6 players total and a background singer so it will be a larger group. It is imperative the piano player is exceptional because most of the stuff I do has heavy piano fills. Recordings and live performances are required to view before and audition will be available. <![CDATA[I have ten songs that I need the said musicians to play on. This is a home recording set up. The drum kit will be mic'ed and mixed into a stand alone mixer then recorded on two tracks. I Do Not have a Drum Kit. A basic 5 piece is required with at least two cymbals for sound variety. Some double bass is required. I have all needed equipment for the lead guitar, you just need to bring your most comfortable AXE. Some shred required, really looking for more melodic leads. The music is simple and your parts can be simple, all I ask is that the playing is solid and goes with the music. I would like to pay per song to prevent ''milking'' the clock..... and for the drummer I will pay an additional $30 bucks (one time fee) for the hassle of the drum set up/tear down. 30 min set up, 30 min tear down = $30 for one hour.....not bad. For the guitarist, you will be using my guitar rig cept for the AXE. I will send rough samples of the music prior to meeting so you can get a feel of what I am making and the overall arrangement. For the lead guitar, I will send a tab of the rhythm where the lead is to be played so a solo may come together easier. For samples of the music send an e-mail. When the CD is printed you will get credit for being a contributing musician & if you are available for live situations I will include you as part of the band and of course you will be paid for live performance. ]]>
