<![CDATA[Late 70s electro-forged steel road bike, made in Schwinn's original Chicago factory. This is a Chicago Schwinn, one of the most bombproof bicycles ever built. It's not light, but it was made to take all kinds of beatings. As such, the frame looks lived in, but the frame itself is still in excellent shape, no dents or structural imperfections. A new paint job would make it look like it's not 30 odd years old. It mostly has Schwinn stock parts, but everything is in fine working order. Seat tube 24'' or about 61 cm. 700c wheels, Continental tires. Centerpull brakes. Both road brake levers and suicide brakes; brakes are good. Gears shift through just fine. If I don't get around to it soon enough you may need to get a new tube for the back wheel, but the tires are solid. I tore the old grip tape off, which was a mess, cleaned up the handlebars, and wrapped it up with new tape. So, I'm selling it because shortly after purchasing it found it was too big for me. If it was in my size, I'd keep it around to tinker on and ride around, but alas. $125.]]>
