I am trying to get out of a very bad situation with my husband (their father) and I unfortuantely can not afford to pay almost $200 a week per child for both of them to be in daycare. I am looking for a home based daycare that isn't too expensive, or someone that would be willing to work with me on price until I am able to get back on my feet. All I want is my children to be in a loving, learning environment during the day while I am at work. I normally work 7am to 4pm or 8am to 5pm Mon thru Fri. I live in Orange Park and work in Fleming Island. Right now the most that I would be able to afford is $100 a week and that is cutting it close. If the provider you choose keeps more than your child besides their own they are running an illegal in home child care. Other things to watch for is the word babysitter, sahm, navy mom, none of those titles makes it LEGAL for them to keep more than one family's children with out holding a valid license. Run from anything that says they have worked in a child care center if they keep more than one family. They have had classes that tell them that it is against the law to keep more than one family in their home with out license.You just have to ask yourself why are they are knowingly breaking the LAW ?
