It is a whole different sexual experience with an older man. Someone experienced, confident, imaginative. Not to mention that the whole thing is more relaxed. Every situation is different, but wouldn’t it be nicer to be alone at his place, no roommates to worry about (his or yours), no family, no worry that someone will suddenly come home. (Old joke, what are the three words you never want to hear when you’re having sex? “Honey, I’m home!”) Wouldn’t you prefer a man who buys you sexy things to wear to bed instead of just worrying about getting your clothes off? Or even a man who can take you on a date, dinner and the theater, without pawing you all night or making lewd jokes, as though he needs to know every 10 minutes that you’ll go home with him? Or for that matter – a man who doesn’t give up on you just because you don’t go to bed with him on the first date!!!! What’s the downside? Well, older men vary, but we’re not all young and buff. Most of us have a little middle-aged spread. But we’re all not – at least I’m not – graying and balding and decrepit. Dating an older man doesn’t mean looking like you’re out with your grandfather. Most of the time your family would hate it, and your friends might or might not approve. But guess what. They don’t have to know! Sneaking around is not a good thing, of course. But you don’t have to go out three times a week and spend whole weekends together. If you have a job, most of the time he can (I can, anyway) give you money if you take time off from work to be with him. Some of your friends might even think it’s cool to date a guy who can take you places you weren’t able to go before, or even maybe treat your friends too. But most of the time they won’t think it’s cool and you won’t want to tell them. Heck, some of them probably have done or would like to do the same thing too. But they’ll never tell you. Obviously, if you date an older man, there are parts of your life he doesn’t mix in, unless the relationship gets serious. I’m not a hottie with a swimmer’s body, but I’m good-looking, with no graying or balding. As far as looks go, it is important to me that you be “height-weight proportional” – not necessarily stick-thin (although slender is quite OK), but not overweight.
