I think the back lash is because people ( independents mostly) voted for Obama because they did... DO want a change but really were not listening closely enough and dissecting what he was saying as if they were listening to a lawyer. The media didn't help matters by not playing the "spread the wealth" or the "electricity rates will have to increase"..or the "single payer" or I talk with Andy Stern on and on and on that we NOW get to see and hear. The Media ( some) did after the fact admit their mistake in being so idealist that they didn't stay neutral and just REPORT the news, but.....still for the most part are playing the politics and consistently trying to spin a story to their liking. One quote from the "health care summit" the struck with me the strongest was that their IS Bi-Partisanship in regards to the health care bill....both Dems and Repubs DON'T WANT IT !!!! Which is a reflection of the people. This administration ran on CHANGE but every other day the Media and themselves explain their actions with " That's what the Bush administration did" Those here and elsewhere that keep using that rebuttal to anyone who criticize this administration should maybe think about how childish that excuse is for starters...it's the equivalent to explaining why you set the neighbors cat on fire with...." well Billy set him on fire first" These people ran saying how bad the Bush adminstration was doing and then once in office conitnue with the same actions... Maybe they now have more information than they didn't have when they were just candidates and now that that have the facts in front of them,feel that the Bush adminstrations decisions were not the right ones??? But most of us just see it as hypocricy, and i think it's exactly that kind of hypocrisy that got the Tea Party people motivated and I quite honestly don't see how so many others aren't pissed off? This administration is more about control than solutions and that doesn't mean other administrations haven't been as well. During the election He was running on people making more than $250,000- should pay more in taxes and you heard the Clintons, Oprah, Pelosie, the Hollywood crowd and many many others all chiming in Yeah!! Those evil rich people need to pay more in taxes!!!!!! Do You think any of them payed more in taxes?????? Obama made millions off his book and was taking the $3,000- deduction for each kid....Oprah makes sure she doesn't live in Her California house more than a certain number of days so she won't have to pay more in taxes on and on. For those who don't know...Not only can you not take deductions to pay more in taxes it is also legal just to write the IRS a check at the end of the year for more than you owe and it's actually tax deductible. This is why so many say these people are about the control of telling the other guy what he has to do instead of actual solutions. So as not to keep this in the negative spiral that our country is in I'll put forth some other easy solution that don't even need big legislation to force people to do something they may not want to do but to enable those who want to make changes on their own...IF that is what they really want? WE THE PEOPLE can make the changes We have Flood insurance for those who can get a an Insurance company to provide it....Why not just do that for Health care?...Why can't we just have a few more boxes on the tax forms under where we are asked if we want to donate to the election fund? Maybe to give to a health care fund..or the defense or housing etc... Most all of us would probably love to have solar panels and not have to pay the electric company but it doesn't prove to be cost effective because of how expensive they are. So instead of trying to draft and past some punitive legislation to control / force everyone to do something why can't the government outfit as many of it's own buildings that are feasible with panels like places in the parks post offices on and on and by them ( us) buying more and more panels the cost will come down making it more affordable for the average person. The same thing with electric cars.....If the government started placing orders for electric vehicles ( the post office again a good one for this) the cost would come down...the bugs worked out and they would be an option for more people. These are just a couple of ideas off the top of my head as ways the government can have a positive influence with out have to demand people do this or do that Like I said we have a bunch of people who make more than $250,000- a year...and believe people who make more than $250,000- a year should be paying more in taxes...Let's make it easier for them! unless of course they really don't want to pay more and were all about the control??? ]]>

Let us make this year the year to vote each and every one of them out of office and start afresh. Our constitution states that they are not to pass any laws that affect any of us that does not also affect them. Well, we know that they have been passing laws for years to sweeten the pot for them, that do not apply to the citizens that they are supposed to be representing. They are not in the Social Security system, they have their own retirement system, paid for by ( you guessed it ) us lowly taxpayers. By the way, their spouses also enjoy a federal retirement just because they are married to one of the BUMS. They don't worry about health care because they have us lowly citizens to pay for their health care, forever. What a deal. That is why I say this year should be the year to VOTE THE BUMS OUT.]]>

<![CDATA[I don't believe we ever really needed unions. I believe communist caused most of the situations that were used to make it appear a though unions were needed. I believe that most of the problems could have been eradicated some other way. I believe that even if they did solve some problems their true motive behind getting involved was to bring down this country from within.back when we were in the cold war and they negotiated mutually assured destruction they figured out that would not work. it was all tied to computer models of what could happen. basically,a computer would decide when to launch missals.they decided it would not be good to leave that in the hands of a computer for obvious reasons. so, they decided to tie all or most economies together. if one goes down it is a domino effect. we are a consumer sided country. china is a cheap manufacturing sided country. every country is dependent upon another so as to keep us from warring with each other. this did not happen by chance. it was planned out. there is a world bank. the world bank get money from the federal reserve. federal reserve loans money to everybody but mostly to other countries tied to the same economic ties. bottom line is we are headed toward a one world economy. I know i don't have this down to a science but i do know it is all tied together. the federal reserve is not federal and it has no reserves. it just prints money and it's value is just taken out of thin air. explain why we have all this oil in our country be we don't drill for it. it keeps us tied to the middle east. never mind the environmentalist and the high cost of union labor to get it out of the ground. the state of PA. has had more people run for president under the communist ticket then any state. that was back during the depression. they quickly realized they could not get elected under they communist flag. they did hold some mayoral seats.so, they changed there coats and lied and ran as democrats or liberals. they even said they were progressives. they infiltrated both parties. they did what ever they had to do to progress their true agenda. ]]>

<![CDATA[The way you force them out Constitutionally is by boycotting companies who use Unions. You will never be able to ban Organized labor in a free society like the US. Unions are on their way out anyways. Its not just Unions that influence elections, it corporations in general. With the Supreme Court ruling any corporation or Union will be able to spend unlimited amounts of money on elections and that was passed by the Conservative side of the Supreme Court 5-4 ruling, "liberal" judges were against the idea. From now on the Unions will be the least of your worries in elections. Now any company can spend however much money they want on any candidate. Bye Bye third party and independents. that ruling is the end of elected representatives even considering actually listening to the people. Our country is in the hands of Big Business and a very very small portion of our society. By the time Corporate America is done with us, Unions won't look half as bad. I suspect really big companies like UPS and GE won't drop their unions as they much rather pay alittle more over time rather than have a high turn over rate. The Auto industry will phase them out over time as technology gets better. But UPS cannot afford to not have workers not showing up, getting fired and have to train new people in a industry that depends on timing and man power. Unions are evil because companies allow them too. I work for UPS and I only make 1.50 more an hour than a FedEx worker. UPS fights the Teamsters every year in their annual contract meeting... And i mean fight not just accept what the Teamsters offer. I would say most companies don't fight, they just lay down and submit to them. I have worked my ass off to get where I have got, but I see some people there that do as little as possible. they do get fired though. Its not that hard to get fired at UPS even with the Union in place. UPS is the exception to what union does to companies. I am very grateful for everything UPS has given me like a decent pay, rewarding job, and full medical benefits. I will say that since I have worked there I have noticed I am using those benefits more as working in the warehouse takes its toll over time. I plan on making UPS a career and give everything I have to them. I am one of the few though. Oh and No I didn't vote for Obama or support him or the Democratic Party, nor are most of the employees. I work along side rednecks that support the GOP. I am a Ron Paul supporter myself and Constitution Party supporter. I may not agree with how Unions operate but they are not breaking any laws nor are they going against the Constitution of this country so I feel they have the right to operate. Once a Union breaks the law they should be punished to the fullest extent. I lived in Reading PA a while back and in the town there is a sign that tells about a guy that helped with some labor laws back in the 20's that got passed. this particular guy ran under the communist ticket for I believe mayor or maybe it was governor. he lost I believe all 3 attempts. I am sure he just decided to run under the democrat ticket forging a head with the communist plans. ]]>

<![CDATA[Buddhism is awesome. Such a peaceful religion if you can call it a religion. It gives people direction in life without having a centralized leader. Everyone in Buddhism is a leader. It teaches you to take care of your family, business, and friends while having as little effect on the earth as possible. Buddha's teaching are more of a way of life then following something you may think is there but don't know for certain. Even as a Buddhist I believe there is something greater than myself out there. I look at all the great feats in this world and they were done before Christianity was ever thought of. The Pyramids, Great Wall of China, Tajmahall, and others. All great things. These days we cannot build something that will last 200 years never mind thousands of years. Sometimes I feel people rely too much on God and not enough on themselves. in a sense I think the same is happening with government. Too many people are relying on the government and not enough on themselves. To ask 'God' to give you the strength to do something you could very well do without asking for his strength. Next time ask yourself to give yourself the strength to do it. For those who believe in god as depicted in Islam, Christanity, and others; Do you really think God wants a bunch of infants running around earth always asking for help?? Probably not. I think he would much rather have a bunch of mature adults running around that can take care of themselves responsibly. Our government has turned into the modern day version of 'God'. people asking more of government and god then of themselves. That is our problem. Not that God is removed from government, but people are turning government into god. next time you go to ask god for help or for strength start by asking yourself for that help or strength. <![CDATA[I glanced at a few of the latest posts and followed two strands. The one about a lady in a cheap, seedy motel and the one about bible thumpers. Two things about them; first there was a question someone asked early on in the cheap hotel thread that no one bothered to answer and THAT SAYS MORE THAN ANY comment left behind. The question was: Do you cheat on your taxes and why? NO ONE ANSWERED IT. On the other thread I was happy to see someone mentioned that Buddhists are happy with you, with life, with everything, with whatever you believe in, they wont try to change anyone. That's because Buddhism is NOT a religion. Not in the contemporary definition of the word anyway. When a Buddhist prays, they are really just thinking about and thanking the Buddah for showing and teaching people how to meditate (and once you learn how to do it goober, you'll understand what the fuck it's all about). The Buddah (Siddartha Gautauma was his name) actually told people, 'I am not a deity, I am not the offspring of any diety, nor do I have special powers, anyone can become a Buddah (enlightened one). if you just follow these steps toward using your mind more fully. For something like the first forty years he travelled the Far East Asian country side spreading his teachings on how to meditate, he would not allow any one to write anything about him specifically. That way, he would not create a following out of a cult of personality, rather the following would come from the usefulness of his methods, and they would be FOLLOWING HIS MESSAGES, NOT FOLLOWING HIM. Some people have said he performed miracles (like turning water into wine or healing the sick) but these are probably anecdotal references that when they were repeated were most likely due to the sheer amount of gratitude and admiration and that these stories only show how admired Buddah was and say nothing as to the historical accuracy or truthfulness of the claims. Because they're not true because no one performs miracles, because there really is no son of god, because there is no 'god.']]>

After I clearly stated I was atheist and wasn’t interested in his fictional character or his self-righteous way of pushing his religion on me. He continued pushing his shit on me until I accepted the bible, turned around, sold it back to the book store, and bought a sci-fi book instead. Christians are the most annoying of the religious people. They force their BS on people who don’t give a damn. Yea, so what if I burn in Hell. I DON’T CARE about your opinions on my lifestyle. At least the Buddhists are sweethearts and are happy to be friends with you, even if you don’t follow their God. Christians are the reason NOBODY likes our country. As i sped up i looked in my mirror again and all i could see was the grill of the semi, but i had a calming feeling in me and i kept driving as hard as i could. That is why i know there is a God. With Vouchers, schools cost less than public schools and parents have to provide transportation. That saves Tax payers and cities money. That allows parents to have a choice in the matter. It's a great reason for local schools to compete and try to do better, so more parents will want to use their school. I am a supporter of privatizing schools that way people can choose which school to send their children to. Whether is be a Christian, Jewish, Islamic, or Atheist school people should have the choice which one they wish their children to go to. I am all for you being a devoted Christian. I think its great. I think any person practicing whatever religion they want is great. The government shouldn't restrict the practice of any religion. God is a universal term used in many many religions. I feel it was important that Jefferson used the term God instead of using Jesus or any other prophets name. I just want everyone to keep their religious beliefs to themselves, their Churches, and their private schools. I am not trying to get anyone to get away from Christianity, I'm just saying don't try and preach to those who have a difference of opinion. Different religions for different folks. Do good onto others and there is no doubt God will do the same onto you. I don't reject God. I just keep my relationship between me and him a private one. <![CDATA[GOING TO HAPPEN...it isn't a matter of if,it's a matter of when. delaying it is the best we can do. there is one place you can go that has never failed in it's predictions. that would be the bible. if you want to separate the bible from you daily life as most have then you will witness bible prophecy right before your eyes. it has a 100% rate of prediction. the events that took place to lead us to a nwo took place a long time ago and they haven't been stopped or hardly slowed down and are nearly at the desired destination. if congress can not audit the federal reserve what to we think we can do? maybe inform people of what is going on. many that won't believe it or don't care to understand how this will effect their lives. obama knows exactly what is going on and is a very willing participant. the one area that the people behind all of this did was remove the bible from being taught. they really want to remove all references of GOD from society. largely have done so. most fall in to the trap that GOD is not reliant. they have twisted the definition of separation of church and state as defined by Jefferson.
