ok... for the bad news... When the neighborhood was built ( around 1900 ) it was designed as a weekend retreat for a number of close families. It is zoned agricultural ( which is why the taxes are so inexpensive ). Some of the houses are closer than new building codes would probably allow. My house has a neighbor that you must walk by in order to enter my house. We share the same sidewalk. It seems odd at first ( as it did to me ) but it's something that you certainly get used to. This small detractor is what enabled me to purchase a large waterfront home at a reasonable price.
