<![CDATA[Westwood One/ SmartRoute Systems operates the Transportation Management Center (TMC) under contract with the Department of Transportation in Jacksonville FL. We monitor the instate roadway system looking for crashes, congestion , construction, etc., anything that might slow the normal flow of traffic. We share this information with the public via the 511 traveler info system. Part of our job is to help market the 511 system thru public outreach and events. The job available is a Part Time Marketing Assistant to help with this effort. Duties would include driving the 511 logo'd 'Probe' vehicle daily to report on traffic conditions and relay that information back to the D.O.T. and local radio stations. Other duties would include assisting our Marketing Manager in coordination and staffing of opportunities to promote 511. Applicant needs to have a clear speaking voice with ability to convey traffic conditions concisely. You would be crossed trained as a TMC operator as well. A clear driving record is required and you must also be able to pass a federal background check as we work in government and FHP offices. Applicant would need to be available Monday mornings (6a-9am) and Tues-Thurs 3p-7p. Flexability to help with events helpful. The position is PART TIME with no benefits at this time.
