Monique Warner Real Estate. First off let me say that we are not psycho A-Holes that just woke up one morning and decided to try and ruin a business. We do not WANT to be dealing with this crap, it's ridiculous. But we are getting no where with them and so we at least wanted to warn others so they don't have to go thru what we did. Basically my girlfriend moved here from California, she found this place online and the pictures seemed okay. The nightmare began from day 1, literally. The first day she got here, she tried to do wash and the plumbing backed up, they did promptly send out plumbers, who ended up breaking a pipe under the back yard because it was so old, they actually sent someone out pretty fast to dig up the entire back yard and replace a lot of pipes to the tune of about $1,300. I have a strong feeling that's why they refuse to replace the heater they already spent more than they ever wanted to on the place. We reported them to the city and received a copy of all the paperwork they sent to the city that's how I know the cost of the work and saw all the work orders in which my girlfriend never saw, never signed, and were full of lies. I blame the commissioner for not thinking there was a problem with that. Anyways, once it started to get cold, she ran the heater, it worked okay at first but quickly began to decline until it barely blew out any air at all, and what it did blow out was cold. Unbeknownst to my girlfriend the heater was using many times the amount of electricity that it should have been. She called them and they sent a maintenance man right away, he said something was missing from the system and it would most likely run her bill up to "like $500", she checked her electric bill and sure enough it was $501. The man didn't even say anything about fixing the thing, or doing anything, he scraped some black stuff off something inside the wall and more air blew out of the exhaust vent but he mentioned that he was doing whatever he could to help but it would still be horribly in-efficient. He also mentioned that there is no insulation in the attic. I wonder if thats a building code violation? Would love for someone to get back to me on that. My girlfriend is disabled with two kids and that electric bill messed her up pretty bad, I had to help her keep a roof over their heads. She notified the landlord of all of this and they basically didn't care, they actually threatened her with eviction if she didn't pay her rent. They agreed to send another man out, who didn't show up until about a month later, so after suffering for over a month, with no heat whatsoever because after the $501 electric bill she couldn't afford it and I really couldn't either finally someone showed up. He said that the whole system needed to be replaced and seemed genuinely concerned but stated that the landlord would not authorize replacement because 'it's not going to be cold forever". Awesome answer right? Soo, we started the fight, contacting everyone we could in the city, the govt., the BBB, free laywers, posting on craigslist etc. The landlord kept flagging our posts until they were removed but I don't give up easily. We finally saw those papers I mentioned earlier, it looks like the landlord just wrote whatever she wanted on the work orders and none of them have a signature so they could write anything they wanted. None of it matched what the maintenance men said in person to our faces. I will say that at the very least she said if my girlfriend gave 30 days notice she could get out of her lease without penalty, I guess she's tired of dealing with us, she said we "vilified" her company. All I can say is Monique, you brought this on yourself, if the shoe fits, wear it, you ARE a villain. Luckily there is only a few months left on the lease anyways but I will probably still continue letting people know about you. You claim to own 700+ properties, from looking at your cheesy WYSIWYG website on some generic hosting company I highly doubt you own that many properties. Even if you do, most of them are crap that costs less than $500 a month to rent, so owning a ton of slumholes doesn't really count. Also it shows how cheap you really are, 700 properties and you can't afford an actual wed developer? <![CDATA[I took my children to have their annual eye exam. Well to my surprise per Dr. Derickson both would need glasses, but he needed to do a cycloplegic eye exam. Which is a stronger dilation drop. This would relax the muscles in the eye so he could get a better reading for their eye glasses prescription. Well after the eye exam, I told the doctor that I would like to price frames and lenses somewhere else he said their would be a recharge check fee of $50.00 if I got the glasses some place other than his office. Well after about two and a half hours in his office me, my husband and two children were starved so we went to eat lunch. In the meantime my husband and I could not understand how our children have been able to see to get through preschool and are now doing very well in kindergarden. So we decided to get a second opinion. My motherly instinct was talking to me. Anyway the second opinion was not the same as the first. Our children do not need glasses and my mind was at ease. But that was not the end of the story then I got a call from Dr. Derickson's office saying that I still needed to pay an additional $50.00 ($25.00 per child) for the cycloplegic dilation. This is above and beyond my insurance payment. So I would like to ask if others have had them do a service and not be told that there would be an additional fee? This is wrong and you would not expect this from a doctor. I called and filed a complaint with my insurance on him and Dr. Derickson will not fax me the prescription without my $50 charge being paid even though he my insurance paid their portion. Approx. $131.00 per child. Would that not make you a little suspicious. If he has done all things up and up why not send me the prescription so my insurance can see the difference between his and the other optometrist. We must let the public know when we are taken advantage of ... this is not right. And I am not going to stop here with my complaint. Doctors should not be allowed to practice in this manner. Please let me know if you have experienced this in the past or in the future. ]]>

I would like to respond by stating that there are always two sides to a story. This resident contacted us; we did not contact her regarding a rental. She is the one who chose this home out of the list of homes we had available. This home WAS ready upon her move in. Every work request she has called in has been promptly addressed. The heater she is complaining about is working properly. She complained about us billing her for the stoppage in the commode where the plumber found a baby spoon in it causing the stoppage. The commode had worked for the 5 months she has resided in this home without any problems until the spoon was put down it. She was charged the plumbers call because it was residents neglect. She continues to state how high her electric bill is but refuses to bring us a copy of her JEA bill. She also states that JEA stated the heater was the cause for her high electric usage yet they have NOT completed an energy survey at this home. We are a reputable company with over 700 satisfied customers. If we treated our customers the way she is stating, we would surely not be in business long. We treat everyone with respect and do our best in trying to take care of their needs while renting a home from us. I urge you to take into consideration while reading her tirade that this is one person's side to a story and NOT the whole story.]]>
