<b>Roles and Responsibilities:</b>

* Operations responsibility for the successful functionality and high availability of all server hardware and software located in the corporate computer facilities in Knoxville and Denver to include application computers and servers; systems servers. Responsibilities include:

o Reports to the Director of Server Operations
<br>
<br>
o Manage the Server Operations staff*s daily and project oriented activities as assigned
<br>
<br>
o Maintain the staff*s direction and adherence to the policies and procedures of the Data Center.
<br>

o Support and implement the direction, initiatives, and goals of the Server Operations area as outlined by the Director of Server Operations
<br>

o Troubleshooting and repairing of all server hardware components
<br>

o Troubleshooting and fixing (through responsible vendors) software problems

o Proactively monitors systems performance and perform load balancing and clustering as appropriate
<br>

o Testing and Implementing (new and replacement) and/or upgrade hardware components as directed by the Infrastructure Implementation Planning function in balance with providing fundamental support requirements

o Testing and Implementing (new and replacement) and/or upgrade software products and tools as directed by the Infrastructure Implementation Planning function in balance with providing fundamental support requirements

o Documenting all hardware and software changes, documenting and updating all server build documents based on server role, documenting and updating disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
<br>

o Monitoring hardware and software capacity and usage and reporting results to the infrastructure planning function and the Business Systems Planning group
<br>
<br>
o Continually enhance hardware and software monitoring to enable and/or provide live monitoring access and automated reporting.
<br>
<br>
o Performing all computer operations functions required on all computers and servers to include (but not limited to) operating systems and application systems back-up and the offsite transfer of back-up copies of software on all platforms.
<br>
<br>
o Supporting Disaster Recovery and Business continuity activities in a leadership role and to facilitate Disaster Recovery Validation tests on all platforms
<br>
<br>
o Providing 2nd level support to IT teams, Server Operations team members, and users who require help
<br>
<br>
o Developing and maintaining practices required to effectively manage the environment
<br>
<br>
o Operate as a technical resource and facilitator to peers within the team
<br>
<br>
o Facilitating and continually updating a standard server imaging process on all platforms
<br>
<br>
o Provide qualitative and frequent updates to the Director, Server Operations on assigned tasks and responsibilities and escalate to the Director expeditiously when issues arise and consistently meet established project/task deadlines

o Maintain updated, active, germane, financially feasible, and industry-recognized technology certifications obtained through flexible and intuitive methods such as but not limited to self-paced, on-line, or project based training classes.

o Comply with all company policies and procedures

* Aggressive pursuit of monitoring technology to ensure all relevant components and services are functional and adequate reporting can be performed on a periodic basis via the monitoring tools.

<b>Position Requirements and Qualifications:</b>
