Individual will be responsible for food safety risk assessment with implementation and maintenance of food safety related programs/processes. Individual will oversee all Microbiological practices. <br> <br> Responsibilities: <br> <br> Regional/Corporate expert in Microbiology and Food Safety: <br> Expert on trouble shooting and determining root cause of microbial challenges in manufacturing <br> Lead Microbiological staff and food safety related programs <br> Participate in customer microbiological inquiries and microbial challenges related to delivered finished products <br> Lead troubleshooting as related to microbial issues and may participate in customer communication/visits <br> Determine product microbiological specifications <br> Lead staff to manage ISO 22000 HACCP/Food Safety responsibilities (HACCP Team Leader; Responsible for training and education; HACCP Validation; Maintenance of HACCP program) <br> Manage all aspects related to HACCP to ensure the production of safe high quality products <br> Responsible for the development, implementation, maintenance, and validation of the Development and Operations HACCP programs <br> Individual will ensure food safety standards and regulations are consistently being met <br> Responsible for reducing and eliminating food safety hazards <br> Monitor product handling practices, GMP’s, SSOP’s and employee hygiene <br> Conduct HACCP and Food Safety Principles training and awareness <br> Works with Purchasing and IRFI to review vendor HACCP programs <br> Review sensitive raw materials to assure the necessary food safety storage and handling practices are in place <br> Product recall process, quarterly mock traceability exercise and validation <br> Develop and implement HACCP plans for new operational processes <br> Performs other related duties and assignments as required, such as the maintenance of ISO work instructions <br> Possible international travel associated with other WILD companies, vendors and customers <br> Interested candidates should possess the following: <br> <br> Skilled in the food industry <br> <br> Strong communication, including excellent oral & writing skills, and leadership ability <br> <br> Strong organizational skills <br> <br> Proficiency in Excel, Word, Power Point, Visio and Outlook <br> <br> BS in Food Science or other related scientific degree <br> <br> 8+ years experience in Quality or related experience in food safety risk management Strong process awareness or QMS experience <br> <br> HACCP accreditation a plus <br> <br> <br> <br> Along with competitive salaries and generous vacation and holiday benefits, we provide a comprehensive benefits program.Please send your resume to this listing for consideration.
