<![CDATA[Internship Opportunities We need talented student interns to help staff the locally produced, sports-related television program "Hockey LoeDown," seen on WVLT-TV's MyVLT2. We're looking for interns for both the production and sales sides of the business. The weekly, half-hour program focuses on East Tennessee's professional ice hockey team, the Knoxville Ice Bears. "Hockey LoeDown" enters its second season this fall, and is seen Wednesday nights @ 10:30 p.m., on MyVLT2 October through May. Production and sales are underway now. Production interns will receive hands-on experience shooting, writing and editing for broadcast (no answering phones required). Opportunities are also available for on-camera work, provided quality standards are met. Responsibilities include covering Ice Bears games, practices, and off-ice events, and enterprising feature stories. Interns may also produce television commercials for program advertisers. Sales interns will receive valuable broadcast sales experience, with the potential to earn commissions. We accept all majors and recent college graduates eager to enter the broadcast industry.
