<p><strong>Job Duties:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Review residential, commercial and industrial building plan check including architectural, structural, accessibility, fire and life safety to ensure compliance with current codes and standards.</li>
<li>Ability to provide M E P and energy reviews is also desired but not required.</li>
<li>May provide QC monitoring of plan review for completeness and compliance with City codes and policies</li>
<li>Provide counseling for architects, engineers, contractors, and the general public relative to building design, code specifications as applicable to their proposed plans</li>
<li>May assist in client acquisition and promotional activities including the preparation of proposals and statements of qualifications, oral interviews and marketing promotions.</li>
<li>May make occasional field inspections to ensure that construction is in conformance with applicable codes and regulations. </li></ul>
<b>Experience Required</b> <ul>
<li>Must be a California licensed Engineer (PE in civil engineering required) * SE license desired but not required</li>
<li>ICC Plans Examiner certificate desired but not required</li>
<li>5 years experience in structural design of complex residential and commercial buildings</li>
<li>Plan review experience is highly desirable</li></ul>
