<![CDATA[Lost Chihuahua mix in Downtown Los Angeles. Last seen running on Grand towards Washington the evening of 5/18/10. He ran away from a center that was taking care of him for the day. He's brown/tan with white on his chest and a little white on his two front paws and a few black hairs on his back (sort of looks like a fox, not full chihuahua). He had a black collar, but it may have fallen off. He weighs about 10 lbs. If you have seen a dog fitting this description, please contact me immediately. The dog is my baby and I miss him terribly. There is a $500 reward. Please help. My dog is still missing and he has been spotted all over Downtown Los Angeles: Toy District w. 45th & Main Olympic and Santa Fe (around Central) 3rd and Boyd Maple and San Pedro Washington & Hill Santa Fe and 7th He was lost in Downtown and he doesn't know the area. (I live in Altadena). I've been looking for him since 5/18/10. He escaped from a dog care center in downtown L.A. I miss him terribly. I've tgried everything, have posted on Pet Finder, Pet Harbor, Find Fido, K-9 Alert, etc. It's been over two months and I'm still receiving sightings. I know in my heart that he is out there and I need him from people in downtown LA, Vernon and South Central area to help me search for him. I've posted over 1,500 flyers, hired a pet detective and I don't know what else to do. I drive around after work and visit all the shelters on line everyday and I go there on the weekend. Please keep an eye out for my dog and please post a flyer in your neighborhood if you can. Goose was a rescue found on the street with a broken paw and he's incredibly scared of people. If you see him, please call out his name and lure him with food. PLEASE DON'T CHASE HIM as he will run into the street and can get hit by a car. I urge anyone that reads this to please post a flyer. <![CDATA[OK WOW first of all, can't you guys lighten up even a tiny bit??? It was an odd but humorous situation to find such a book blatantly laying out on the sidewalk . OBVIOUSLY I couldn't actually make a person read a book against their will, so there is no point in even harassing me about that as if I'm some crazy person with a clip board and a contract waiting at my door for "Jim T" to show up. And, if so called "Jim T" did happen to have any curiosity on the matter, unlike the "propaganda" you mention, those literary discussions do not tell anyone WHAT to believe because ATHEISM IS NOT A FAITH/BELIEF GROUP. Why do people seem to ignore the fact that an atheist is merely a person who requires logical and/or scientific evidence before accepting something as true. It is not a group defined by an incontrovertible belief and is therefore more open than any other faith based group to new information and alternate viewpoints that may CHANGE what is currently believed to be true. So, I have no ultimate final agenda or message to force on people as you have accused me. Having said that......Propaganda: "often presents facts selectively (thus possibly lying by omission) to encourage a particular synthesis, or uses loaded messages to produce an emotional rather than rational response to the information presented." Not to make this more about the referenced books than it should be, but if only one thing is taken away from those books, it is simply the importance of RATIONAL CONSIDERATION OF ALL FACTS AND EVIDENCE in order to come to a logical conclusion/belief as opposed one of emotional basis. Whether that process results in the belief of God, flying squids, or nothing at all, I could care less, but it's the ongoing process of questioning that is important. I think we can all agree that most religions have had a long history of "selective representation of facts." You are harassing me for what the very book I picked up is teaching! It's a guide in how to evangelize! I don't understand why people get so offended at the thought of reading different points of view and questioning the reasons for their beliefs, especially if they actually have concrete beliefs! I am open to reading material from all faiths. As I don't believe in anything per se, I have nothing to defend and am genuinely interested to better understand why people believe the different things they do. In no way do I try to tell people what to believe. "Truths" in science and the natural world are always changing and adapting as new information/points of view are continuously being reviewed and tested. Why shouldn't this process be applied to all aspects of life/thinking? Plus, you act like I stole the book from his house and am holding him hostage unless he reads my 'evil cult pamphlets' or something. "That book is someone's property?" He shouldn't have so carelessly left it on the sidewalk then. I took it home because I deduced that it was probably important to him based on the notes inside, and thought I would give him a chance at getting it back by listing it here. So, sorry everyone for being thoughtful, and then making a light hearted reading suggestion that has been taken way too seriously. Bottom line (and all I truly care about in terms of what people believe) and as proved in all other areas of human existence: INQUISITIVE THINKING / OPENNESS TO CHANGE = GOOD. The cat was striped shorthair, with orange/brown/reddish coloring and cream/white paws. I could not stop because of traffic, but I did call CalTrans to let them know it was there. I am sorry if this was your cat. It was near some apartment buildings/condos/ retirement living buildings just before the Reseda south / east exit. Loves to lick last seen in Rancho Palos Verdes around Toscanini Drive above Western Ave. commercial district. We are told he ran away from boarder to chase a cat. Had on his brown leather leash and Santa Monica tags with ID still on him. Answers to "Dommie" name on tag Dominic. Reward. Please return ASAP, he is sorely missed and probably starving. Lost in afternoon on July 24, 2010. We are devastated. He can beg and can stand for quite a while on his hind legs, very cute and charming.
