<![CDATA[Black chow mix running on freeway - I saw the CHP chase a dog onto the 10 freeway today. I tried to get my car turned around ASAP and get on the freeway to try and help. There was so much traffic it took me nearly 15 minutes. I heard that there was a Sig Alert that this dog was hit and someone was trying to stop traffic to help him/her. Someone picked up the old blue baby-stroller in the alley behind Hurricane Street & Galleon that had a long dog's lead line leash in the bottom basket. It was being cleaned and drying in the sun because it was used for an old dog that just died the day before of a serious cancerous tumor that had been leaking all over the carriage. There is a dog like the one I just described here living in the desert in a clump of bushes and one of the people that live close by where this dog is at said the dog showed up about two months ago with two other dogs and he believes the dog is lost and unable to find its way home. The other two dogs have left and gone somewhere but I have no idea where. This dog is in a dirt field on the west side of fern ave. at the intersection of Fern and Oldfield. <![CDATA[There are 2 small deceased dogs on the south side of Ave R (eastbound lanes) just west of 50th Street East. One has been there for a month or more and the other one has been there since Saturday night when I first saw it in the rain. I just went by tonight again on my bike and they are still there :(. Whoever hit them moved them off the road into 2 different tree planter/enclosures by the sidewalk. The dog that has been there a month or more is a reddish blond Pomeranian type dog about 10 lbs and the other poor thing is white/cream fox terrier'ish type with a tan left ear and has on a black nylon collar and a blue harness/leash and is about 10-15 lbs. I don't know the sex of either dog. I am very sorry for your loss and if you go to look for them and can't find them you can give me a call 661.456.5905 I can't imagine that someone is not missing the one with the collar & harness and I will try to get in touch with animal control in the morning so that they can be picked up & listed on their deceased animal log for their owners to have closure.]]>
