<![CDATA[Yes, you guessed it, I am looking for that precious 1%. I have responded to quite a few ads here on CL and elsewhere, and the results have been nothing short of disastrous. What has happened to people in the last ten years or so? I always knew that, as a species, we were in deep trouble, but I never suspected that we would manage to reach this degree of emotional, psychological and intellectual disintegration...... These are my findings after contacting lots of women over the last few months. Keep in mind that all these women were sent very friendly, polite, informative, and well-written emails in response to their personal ads on the net. Please understand this is NOT an attack on women, as I am convinced that the same applies to men. For obvious reasons, I only contacted women. At least one of the following patterns of behavior applies to a mind-blowing 99% of the women I contacted: 1.-They cannot write a coherent, informative, polite, grammatically correct email if their lives depended on it. 2.-They have the attention span of a two-year-old. And that's on a good day. They may be "very interested" for five minutes, and then, they are gone, and I mean gone as in total lifelessness. 3.-They are afraid of everything. They fear emailing, they fear speaking on the telephone, and, of course, they are totally terrified of meeting in person. Then the question becomes: If placing a personal ad triggers such unwelcome pressure and attention, why on earth do they keep placing ads on the net for the world to see?? 4.-They are totally devoid of the most basic sense of polite behavior and manners. I have been at the receiving end of the most blatant and grotesque lack of manners from women of all races, backgrounds, social statuses, and nationalities (no, it is not an "American problem." European and Asian women, for example, display the same appalling lack of manners as their American counterparts). Age doesn't seem to make a difference, either. Women in their late 40's and even 50's behave as boorishly as those in their 30's or younger. A very thick book could be easily put together listing hundreds of extremely disturbing examples. 5.- They act like spoiled little children who must have their way at any cost. No matter how ridiculous or unreasonable. They place the ad and they offer little or no information (incredibly, sometimes not even their age), but they expect and demand that you provide them with tons of info and photos... It is a very disturbing mixture of childishness and adult manipulation. The women whose ads I answered ranged in age from the mid 30's to the very late 40's. I am not talking about kids here. I believe that one of the main reasons for this out-of-control behavior on the part of women is the ever-increasing spinelessness exhibited by most men.... 6.- They lie about their age and about everything else....lie after lie after lie...... 7.- They are manipulators whose main purpose is to get free meals (preferably dinners at nice restaurants) out of unsuspecting men. As soon as they have gotten a few free meals out of the guy, they move on to the next gullible victim.. These are the kind of women known as "dinner-whores"..... You would be surprised to know how many women considered "respectable" think nothing of engaging in such a sad and humiliating activity. I often wonder whether there are any women left who are still in possession of a modicum of pride and self-respect.... 8.- They are always late for a date/first encounter. And I do mean ALWAYS. Of the hundreds of women with whom I made contact online and agreed to meet in person, 99% were late. Please understand that I am not exaggerating in the least. When meeting someone, I always tend to arrive at least fifteen minutes before the agreed time. I do not recall a single instance where the woman I was meeting was already there. It never happened. I can safely say that perhaps 1% of the women were right on time. Of the 99% who weren't, more than half were at least 15 minutes late. And a mind-blowing 35% were at least 30 minutes late. Again, this applies to women of all races, ages and backgrounds. What can you expect from human beings who have no problem showing such little respect for you and your time, even BEFORE they get to meet you? And what does it really say about how they lead their own lives and how much respect they show for themselves? So, by now, you may be wondering why I am ranting and raving about this, right? Simple. I am looking for a woman who finds the behavior I have just described as offensive and disturbing as I do. This way, I may have the chance to eliminate all the rude, ill-mannered, angry, flaky, indecisive, fearful, ignorant, mendacious, ADD-suffering, manipulative, chronically tardy women who might otherwise be tempted to answer this ad. Ideally, I am looking for a woman who belongs to this rare 1% of the female population, a woman who is compassionate, affectionate, independent, and intelligent.
