<![CDATA[Fredo and Mr. P have lived all their lives together, so we want them to find a new home together. Fredo was rescued from a very dangerous situation in 2001 when he was just a baby. His angel found him on a dirt road in August starving and dehydrated. With lots of TLC he recovered beautifully; now he is a healthy, happy-go-lucky cat. Mr. P was rescued in 2000 when he was a mere two weeks old from some abusive children. The veterinarian was not encouraging, but with lots of care and love, Mr. P pulled through with no problems. He's very sensitive to people and his environment and somewhat timid, so he needs Fredo for confidence. Unfortunately, Fredo and Mr. P must look for a new home because of severe cat allergies in the family. They are cuddlers and love nothing better than curling up beside you (or on you!) and purring up a storm. Fredo is also very playful and curious so would make a great family cat. ]]>

Even worse is when they call themselves a "behaviorist". This is a very specialized, hightly educated field. Ask questions about education and certification. Ask questions about training technique and philosophy. I did NOT and my dog suffered the consequenses. Ask what seminars they have and will be attending? Education is ON GOING. Don't let someone, who can't take the time to educate themselves, try to educate your dog and you. It is YOUR hard earned money and YOU are responsible for the well being of your dog. You DON'T need portraits, or Karma, or zen or someone in college trying to make extra money and "loves" dogs. What you DO need is someone educated in the field who can effectively work with you and your dog before you give it up to a shelter. Your dog does not need a "gimmick." <![CDATA[This very handsome boy is at the West Valley Shelter is approximately 7 years old. Shelter says Popeye was "evidence" dog, but time is almost out and reports that he is not socialized. Although the dog is not available to the general public, if someone was willing to work with local rescue and perhaps foster or assist with cost of boarding, this beautiful dog might be saved. Is there a trainer who could open their hearts and agree to work with this boy at a discounted rate? Let's at least try to create a miracle for this boy.
