I am not on drugs (prescription or otherwise), however I do use cannabis (natural medicines & herbs) for inflammation and back pain. I have never been to prison, in a gang, on the run, or mentally ill. I am not a thief or any other stereotypes that may have been programmed through the media, fear and ignorance. I try to live by the golden rule. I am intelligent. I am a hard worker. I am employable although I do not have a degree. I am a native of Ohio but grew up here in Los Angeles. Due to needing a minor (but major to me) back surgery about 4 years ago and not having any medical insurance, I had no choice but to take what little savings I had and move back to Ohio with my extended family. Fortunately the Ohio free health system was not as abused as the ones on the West Coast and by the grace of God I was able to mask the pain until I was blessed to find a job that offered 100% paid medical from day one; something almost rare to find at an entry level tech service job. Nonetheless, after living in Ohio and doing very well for myself, I decided to move back to the West Coast. It was home, and the Ohio winters were not treating me well, physically. When I moved back to LA, I started a business in the holistic medicines & herbs industry, a business that I'm still developing. I also trained for and received my residential care for the elderly admin license from the CA Dept of Social Services. Regrettably when I came back to Los Angeles, I realized that some friends I had completely out-grown while some friends were never friends’ at all, just mere shallow connections looking out for self. I was pretty much alone in California as I have no other family here and my siblings live in Mexico & Michigan. I operated and grew my business for a year before needing to close my physical location and rethink my options due to taking on a lazy business partner. When I left that situation I did so thinking I would be OK because my heart was in the right place. Nonetheless, that decision has left me broke and living on the streets with no one to turn to. Without going into great detail, I can attest that the LA county shelter system is not designed for persons like me, who are good people who happen to have fallen on hard times. It is a system set up to house (but not help) ex-cons, alcoholics, drug users and the mentally ill. Not falling into any of those categories left me feeling very unsafe as well as depressed. To keep my sanity, since of self, and to feel in control of my life I opted I was better on the street until something changed or God interceded. To get back on my feet I need stability which means having a place to sleep, bath, hang clean clothes and an address for my resume. Due to my situation, I am not able to pay rent immediately but I have been looking for work and I have a product that I developed and sell that brings in a little income. ACTION: To interview with an individual that has a room, garage or space that they can provide while I work hard to get back on my feet. <![CDATA[Hola! So I've spent the last thirty minutes reading these ads. Some are interesting. Some are funny. Some are... disturbing. But for the most part, I'm going to settle on... interesting. Being the go-getter I am (and extremely corny) I decided to post my own ad. Why? Because it's Friday night, and like the last five or six weeks, I'm again at home watching Netflix!
