Minimum 2 years' experience copyediting, proofreading, & project management, BA or above. (This is not primarily a writing job.) Full job description at http://www.hfes.org/web/PubPages/productioneditor.html | Since its launch in June 2006, Orato.com has given nearly 5000 correspondents worldwide a platform in which to tell their stories. Recently recognized as one of the top 12 news websites in the world by the 2008 Webby Awards (which have been called the Oscars of the Internet by the New York Times), Orato.com has attracted up to 100,000 visitors in one day.

Experience has taught us that the most compelling stories are written in the words of those who experience or witness an event. And so Orato.com is now paying for true, timely stories written through the eyes of those who were ‘there’! It’s our aim to become the world’s leader in unprejudiced, 1st person story-telling. Building on an annual audience of nearly 4 million visitors, we are taking Orato.com to a whole new level by paying for 1st person, human interest stories – stories which grip the emotions, challenge reality, and celebrate the resilience of the human spirit.

We want to be a competitive option for anyone with a great human-interest story to tell, and we are giving our correspondents a number of opportunities to earn money. In addition to selling the story directly to Orato.com, correspondents can benefit from a ‘tipping’ function that allows visitors to tip the author.

As a multi-media platform we put a lot of value on video footage, audio recordings and photos which complement a story. The more compelling the story, the more we’ll pay. If you have a personal connection to an event that’s breaking headlines or an extraordinary event that begs a global audience, send your true human-interest story idea to http://www.orato.com/oratopitch | Looking for a talented website content writer for personal injury

Husband’s Death: What Damages Can A Wrongful Death Car Accident Attorney Help A Widow Recover? ©

When a husband dies in an auto accident, his widow has a claim to recover for what is legally called “loss of comfort, society and protection.” Also, she may be able to make a claim for what is legally called “loss of consortium,” which the law defines as the loss of support, services, love, companionship, affection, sexual relations and solace (comfort).

The amount of money that can be claimed is measured by a either the widow or the deceased person’s age, whichever is shorter.

Of course, in a wrongful death car accident, a widow is able to make a claim for funeral and burial expenses.

What happens if there is a remarriage after the death of a widow’s late husband? The widow will still be able to recover. It is not a penalty and does not hurt the widow’s wrongful death claim in the slightest way.

This is not to be confused with a separated widow at the time of the late husband’s death whose claim is generally solely limited to loss of legal support, nothing for all the good years they spent together.

Child support can also be claimed as long as it was being paid to the widow at the time of death.

Financial support can be proved in several ways and is not limited in the way most people think. A deceased’s earnings at the time of death does not limit the claim, rather, as wrongful death car accident attorneys, we would argue that proof of what the deceased would have probably earned should be taken into consideration to calculate how much you can recover. This includes his age, education, skill, personal habits and ambition.

The claim is not limited to only the late husband’s personal labor if the late husband owned his own business or was self-employed and would have collected money from the labor of others.

As long as the widow had personal knowledge of her late husband’s earnings, she is qualified to provide that information. Of course, as accident attorneys, we would seek out others who may be more knowledgeable as to the late husband’s business affairs and personal working habits who we would argue should be able to further document this claim.

Some other examples of what a widow may recover includes, but is not limited to, contributions for personal items, even holiday gifts, entertainment money and medical care which the late husband provided to his widow.

However, what happens if the marriage was unhappy and about to break up? It is possible that another person such as a child may be able to state this fact and reduce the widow’s claim for damages.

Due to the complexity of this claim, we strongly recommend that you consult with an experienced wrongful death auto accident attorney as soon as possible after the your husband’s death. This is a terrible situation and we believe that you may not be able and should not have to deal with this situation on your own. It is very important to consult with an experienced wrongful death car accident lawyer, especially when dealing with an insurance company which will probably not explain all of your legal rights and only wants to pay you as little as possible in just one lump sump settlement (meaning, you can not later go back and make a claim for additional damages after this claim is settled).

Due to these terrible facts, we strongly recommend that you contact us for a Free Consultation at (800) 655-6585 or click here to submit your case for a Free Review.

Your kind attention and consideration are greatly appreciated.

Whether on a movie set, working in a cafe on about town - do you hear things about celebrities before the blogs and magazines do? I am with a weekly celebrity magazine and I am looking to buy information on celebrities. You do not need to be able to write - just have the info - we write it. Do you know who is dating who? Do you know who is a diva? What is going on while filming? Who is expecting? Who is not getting along with their costar?

We pay starting $250 for small stories to thousands if you break something big like - someone is pregnant etc.

How does it work?
So you email me a pitch - basically a couple of lines about what you know. Or you can call (email me and I will give you my cell) Then I take it to my editor and say here is the basis of the story. If we are interested we come back to you and agree on a price and you give me the details of the story.

We are looking for stuff on the usual players, people that you read about on perezhilton.com - not old school. Lohan, Shia, Aniston, Tomkat, Bradgelina, etc.

Stories should be recent or at least tie into a recent situation. And it is as simple as that. I have sources that make $1000 a week selling four small stories.

How do you get paid? When you sell your first story we email you a W9 and then you fax it back. And after that for every story you sell I put in an invoice and you are paid.

You would be surprised about what you might know. And if you are unsure better to tell everything - sometimes the smallest items turn into the biggest stories.

You must be good at your craft and strong at either formatting, dialogue or creating female characters... the lead protagonist is a female. Knowledge of the vampire culture might be helpful but not necessary because my vision of Vampires is different than most. I'm a 62 year old male screenwriter who is going to have fun during his retirement and get some screenplays created. I've written 5 or 6 so far, love the Robert McKee material and have attended a zillion seminars and read lots of books. I'm well read, used to by a college instructor. My goal is to write 40 pages that week. But our work time will be limited to 7-8 hours a day... I plan to see the island and exercise 2-4 hours a day. I'm a non-drinker, non-party animal, non-pervert. You will be safe and have your own bedroom. You can do whatever you want with your free time. We're looking for a writer who loves the celebrity gossip world and can provide 7-10 blog posts daily. Please check out the sites above for examples of requirements.

Some of the interests and requirements for the writer are:

- as mentioned, a passion for the latest celebrity news
- enough time during the day to do this (estimate 2-3 hours per day, should be spread out a bit as the latest celeb news develops
- creativity, wittiness, a bit of an edge, and definitely a sense of humor
- a good work ethic; we can't afford to hire someone who just doesn't write the content one day without telling us and having a good reason
- a knowledge of basic HTML and also working with resizing images and taking high quality screenshots
- there will be a bit of working with sexy images of female celebrities (no nudity), so anyone applying should know that up front

In an effort to weed out potential candidates, I'll also explain the day to day work you'll be doing. The person we hire will of course get a much more detailed explanation, but here's the gyst:

1) Using the main sources of celebrity news on the web, you will pick 7-10 articles (not necessarily at the same time, just throughout the day) that you think would be good to write about. If you love celebrity news, you already know these sources. Otherwise, if you email us for more info, we'll let you know.

2)You'll want to grab a quote from that article. You'll also want to grab the URL so you can link to the source in the article.

3) You'll write a quick 1-2 sentence blurb about the article. For example, "Lindsay Lohan was seen running naked through a shopping mall today." After that blurb, you'll cite the source and put in the quote from the article which usually explains the story a little more.

4) Then you'll do your 1-2 paragraph commentary on it, which needs to be funny and interesting. Check out thesuperficial.com or wwtdd.com for examples.

5) You'll also need to find an appropriate image to use for that article. This is the main image that goes above the text, and we always use the same size...so you'll need to be able to work with photoshop or some other program to get a nice looking picture.

6) out of the 7-10 articles, about 3-4 will have a gallery with it. For example, if it's an article about Kate Beckinsale's vacation in Cabo, you'll be attaching the images from that vacation (usually 6-12 of them). This also requires a bit of skill with working with images. Nothing a trained monkey couldn't do, but we just don't want to teach a complete rookie how to do these things if we can avoid it.

That's pretty much it. In a nutshell, you find something in the celeb world to write about, you find the appropriate image(s) and a quote, then you write something funny about it. We'll provide the sources of images, but it's important that the applicant can really hit the ground running. Ideally, you'll already be very familiar with some similar sites mentioned above and can just take over without a problem.

Please email with any questions or concerns. Otherwise, please provide a sample of what you can do.
