<![CDATA[I have a 4cyl 2.5L, 5sp, 1997 Jeep Wrangler with less than 74K original miles. It has the stock axles with upgraded 4.88 gears. I bought this vehicle in April of 2007 for $5,500. It did not start at the time so I replaced the CPU/ECM ($250) and she fired right up. It needed some body work so my friend Bob at Mauney Motorsport took care of me and we did a custom "budget" paint job($1,500), that is we did Candy Green over the OEM Green. Makes it look a little different...I get lots of compliments. I've only off-roaded once on a very simple trail in Hardin County. I've kinda lost interest in the project and would like to just recoup some of my investment. This is a great vehicle and loads of fun to drive. It needs a little TLC but what Jeep doesn't, right? I'd get in it right now and drive it anywhere in the country!! Had to replace the breather box after installing the flat fenders (cold air induction "looking" chrome pipe with a K&N like filter). Granted the $1,500 spent with Mauney Motorsports was to do some body work (I have the before pics if you are interested), the rest was spent on upgrades. I also have some other stuff that I can include if interested, like a remanufactured 170 amp alternator (not installed - paid $100) and a 48" Hi-Lift Jack (bought it new on ebay but never used it on the Jeep, did use it for other projects around the house - Paid $60), used Sound Bar(not installed) Vehicle has a clear Indiana Title. I have not transferred it over to my name yet but it is signed by the previous owner. Like I said I bought it in April of 2007 off ebay. I bought it from Pit Stop Trailer company in Georgetown, IN (15 miles from Louisville) and at the time part of their business is buying and reselling cars.
