Most days dad comes home (he drives school bus and has mid day break) You may leave and run your errands, go to doctor, ect...until 12:30. Arrive at 12:30 and care for 3 yr old. (She will normally nap around 1 or 2 for an hour or so) 6 and 9 yr old will get off bus around 4:30. Dad or mom will most likely be home around 5:15 or 5:30 at the latest! You get to go home. Here is the deal...My husband is usually off when JCPS is out so you will most often have those days off as well. 1% of the time he has training or something. Still, on those days you are off...YOU WILL STILL GET PAID! Also, JCPS has Christmas and spring vacations and such...you will not have to work those days and U WILL STILL GET PAID! Thats what I said...paid holidays and vacations! I want someone who is willing to read to my daughter and play games...even watch MAX and RUBY or DORA the explorer! She is a very mellow child and loves simple things. This is not a hard job at all! I DO have pets, as I am a volunteer for a animal rescue and love helping animals as well. I also teach the kids how important it is to love animals. We have circle time where we learn abcs and how to recognize them and their sounds,how to count,colors,and sing songs. We Learn write their names and recognize them. I do age appropriate things. The kids that are old enough I work on sight words and I have a phonics program we work with. In the spring we learn about how things grow and live.In winter we learn about how some animals hibernate. We learn lots of new things daily. We do art projects with the alphabet, seasons, weather,etc.We do NOT watch TV much at all, I would rather the TV not be turned on at all all day long. I know some kids realy enjoy it though, so I have some learning DVDs I allow them to watch (maybe 30-45 mins a day) they are by leap frog and teach letters and their sounds, 3 letter and 4 letter words,and one is a storybook. I DO have pets, as I am a volunteer for a animal rescue and love helping animals as well. I also teach the kids how important it is to love animals.
