<![CDATA[I had contacted the "foster mom" about getting one of those puppies. We had emailed back and forth for 2 days an chated on the phone. I had it all lined up to bring home a new little female pup. I went to a vet appointment with the foster mom and the puppies to make sure my new little girl was all healthy. Then i couldnt get in touch with the foster mom for the next 3 days. I then received this email from her; "After all the scandal that has gone on with the puppies they are no longer under my care. I had someone come to my house and attempt to steal them and in the process they got attacked by my other dogs. Since this happening i have turned the parents and the pups back over to Parker Rescue Center and the owner, Amanda Parker, has copies of all applications. I am sorry for the incovienience." I then emailed Amanda about still being able to get my puppy. She informed my this morning that she turned them over to the Animal Shelter. ]]>

The male is about 3 yr old and the female is 2 yr old. The female left wing is missing some feather, but i believe they will grow back. The female not fully trained need work, the male is some what trained but need to get use to new people. Both of my birds are beautiful and looking for good homes for them. I also have an outdoor play area with a swing set, large slide and climbing block, sand and water table, etc. I enjoy the messy stuff as much as the little ones do. We get into play-doh, do arts and crafts, and have occasional water days with a blow up pool. We watch "Baby Can Read" daily and work on letters, colors, and shapes through out the day. We have a HUGE selection of books and I read to them severl times a day. I try to create an even balance between education and free play. We live at a house right now so my dog is used to being able to go outside alone. I dont want to have to make him use a leash and walk from the third floor down. We love them both but if possible we are trying to find them good homes. "Baby" a black cat is about 4 1/2 and is spayed. She keeps to herself but does get needy when she wants. She is very attached to me and will follow me anywhere. Her leg seems to be deformed (it looks like it was broken) but she was born that way so on one of her front legs she walks more on her elbow but she has never had a problem and it doesnt stop her. "Bengal" is a beagle/dashund mix. We rescued him from the pound 4years ago and they said he was 2 1/2. I think he is older. He is fixed (of course) and microchiped He is a great dog and has been in an apartment before. He is no trouble and loves to sleep. He also loves attention and enjoys sitting in your lap. He doesnt jump or lick! He is potty trained and has never had an accident no matter how long he is in. He usually only wants to go outside to potty but enjoys being out when you are. he is great with my newborn and has been around other animals (dogs and cats) and children. At nap time, the toddlers sleep on nap mats listening to soft classical music. infants are given their own sleeping rooms in a comfy travel yard with white noise playing so they can relax comfortably, as needed, throughout their day. Outside in my fenced back yard there is an infant play house, a toddler/big kids little tykes playhouse/slide with a rock wall, trikes and bikes, balls and other play and sports equipment. I serve hot meals and healthy snacks including milk (at meal time and snack) and 100% juice (once a day). We practice healthy eating and cleaning habits as well as learn proper manners. This is not a babysitting service..this is a hands on learning center. My assistant and I stay very involved with the children.I keep no more than 4 children. We play outdoors everyday, weather permitting. Even when the children are at play, we use it as an opportunity to learn. Your child will learn here and have a blast doing it! You will get a daily sheet to tell you about your little one's day, and we send home our daily art and crafts every Friday for the whole week. During the week, their work is displayed as this helps the children recall what shape, letter, color and number we are learning that week. We also have monthly themes and talk about other countries and cities. Every morning at circle time, we talk about the weather for the day and the day of the week. Every child takes a turn each day being the super helper of the day. Potty trainers are welcome and we have been very successful in assisting parents with training. I use time out as a last resort for discipline. I rarely have to resort to this as the children stay so busy all day. A bored child leads to a mischievous one. We always have the children try to work through their problems first by getting down on their level and helping them make the right choices to problem solve on their own.. We help them make the best choices and talk out problems, in order to find the best solution. I feel the care I offer is superior to any other care I have seen in the Memphis area. I offer over 10 years of paid experience, as an adult, in the child care field. I also worked in medical offices for a number of years. Both my assistant and I are trained in CPR and take a class every year to refresh at Methodist Germantown. I am doing this because it is my passion not because I think it's an easy way to make some money. Home child care is flooded right now with people that should not be caring for kids in their homes because the economy is so bad. Other home cares often charge very little and watch 7-20 kids. <![CDATA[Hi, I recently adopted a sweet little dog from some folks off CL. I paid $25 (they were asking $50) and we just love her and she now has a great home. I am worried though that she was the result of a "flipping" scam. I saw where this same person had posted a "Dog Wanted" ad on August 22 (since has been deleted). They told me that they had her for a week or two, she was all matted up and they shaved her, and that they had her vetted. Well, when I called the vet that they supposidly had her vetted at, the vet said those folks hadn't brought any dogs in there since 2008. After I told them that, they then quit returning my text messages which leads me to believe something is fishy. I should have been more careful in adopting this little girl and did more research OR asked for copies of her vaccination records, but, I didn't. She was just what I had been looking for and I jumped on it. I haven't had her to the vet yet, but when I do I pray that she is healthy. I have to get her spayed first thing anyhow. Either way I like the dog and consider her a rescue since she is very skinny. If anyone has any info on this dog, or gave her to these people, let me know. All I want is a little more background on the dog, her age, why she was giving away, etc. I certainly want to keep her and give her a good loving home. She is WONDERFUL with my child and hasn't done anything that would be a reason someone would want to get rid of her. Her hair matts up easy, but thats about it.]]>
