We're heavier, tighter, more progressive, new drummer, new material, etc. We're starting to re-record that album plus new songs as I write. We're currently a 4 piece all-original band, looking to move our current vocalist to more guitar and back up vox and add a badass singer to front the band. This is a great opportunity. We'd prefer someone relatively young, REALLY into the music, and with a fairly high range to hit the notes we already hit. You don't really have to worry about the "scream" parts, as our other guitarist handles that so far. If you have a great scream, too, that's fine, but we're really looking for someone for the clean parts first. We have a great rehearsal studio, two full PAs and tons of other recording and playing gear, and most importantly: YES, we still have the audacity to go after the Big Time. That's what this is about. This is not a test of the emergency garage band system. We have shows booked and are booking more. We're an all for one-one for all band. Very low drama, very intense musically. Be ready to work, because we play or practice three times a week. You have to OWN what you do as a singer. First, you must have been owned by music at some point, of course. All of us in music have been owned by some song or album along the way; it happens to me every single day. If you can't OWN this stuff, don't bother. We have a great lead singer/ lead/rhythm guitar, bass and drummer we just need our David Gilmore/ Mike Einziger, If you don't know who they are don't bother replying. We are creating new music everyday and everyone in the band contributes in every way and is an equal. We all play more than one instrument and that's not a requirement but we love people who are always trying to broaden their musical craft. It's hard to describe our sound as we are new and creating, the end sound is unknown and you will help change it as well. Any good band is always progressing and changing. We all have so many different influences but we also have so many similar ones, If I had to narrow down our main influences or bands we are sounding closest too it would be: Queens of the Stone Age, Incubus, Radiohead, Muse, Black Keys, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Rage Against the Machine, etc. But we are not a cover band we have many original songs in the works and will continue to create more. Good country, our setlist at the moment is pretty solid including a balanced amount of stuff from the 80's 90's and up to now. For the time being, while we write we plan to play covers in and around town. While I work on this project the idea is to start out as an acoustic trio including a fiddle. We are very serious with this, and the focus IS for original stuff.. For now we want to have fun. We meet twice a week but if you are good enough to get tight with the stuff and have a busy schedule come when you can. The focus is for the fiddle to take over the lead guitar for the time being. I Come from a long line of talented musicians in my large extended family born and raised with nothing but the best of some good ole Memphis roots, a true Southern girl with a whole lotta personality, talent, and soul... with a funky, cute sense of style and a sexy, feminine, clear as a bell voice- my inner musician can also effortlessly change up anything the power of great tunes and the true sound of rythym and beat ask for... Ranges from deep, soulful, and raspy to basically simple but uniquely belted out tones, pitch variations high or low, powerful yet breathy harmonies sung from the very pit of my emotional Libra sun and Moon, Aquarius/Pisces rising soul. :) Vocalists of many different styles and walks of life have most commonly noted and commended me for my natural ability to carry a wonderfully wind-like vibrato within my vocal range with a delicate balance and rarely used in an opera-themed fashion. I don't know how to read music, but my heart is where I learned how to create the beauty of a song, and my soul is where I learned to dance, smile, love, groove, play rythym guitar, bass guitar, and even the drums (a little bit, at least!) ;) I am moderately good at the piano and pretty skilled at playing basic chords on my Fender Stratocaster guitar, just not much of a solo-ist on the guitar!
