So, I became a much more cautious person, & became much better at "reading People". I can usually tell within 5 minutes of being around someone whether they are someone I would consider a "Good Person". I write poetry, and I've even won a poetry contest or two. So, I thought I'd share one of my favorites pieces with you, because it describes me & how I feel. I live alone within myself, like a heart within the woods. I keep my heart high upon a shelf, Barren of other goods. I need another's arms to reach for it, and place it where it belongs. I need another's touch and smiles, to fill my heart with songs. I watch Smallville, One Tree Hill, all of the CSI's, Without a Trace, Cold Case, Criminal Minds, Survivor, Big Brother, Amazing Race, Big Bang Theory, Two and 1/2 Men, How I met your Mother, Rules of Engagement, Worst Week, South Park, Ghost Whisperer, Moonlight, some Wrestling, Ultimate Fighter, Deadliest Catch, Escape to Chimp Eden, Lemur Kingdom, Battlestar Galactica, Terminator:SCC and The Real World. Wow, what a list, I guess I watch a lot of TV. Thank God for Tivo. I also love 80's & 90's movies, like anything directed by John Hughes or that has John Cusack or the "Brat Pack" in them. Two of my favorite movies are Hackers & The Breakfast Club. I have my own Home Theater installed with an 8ft wide screen, so movies at home are like going to the theater, but without all the hassle. I take care of my father, who is disabled & lives with me. I have been taking care of my father for over 20 years now. I volunteered at a nursing home when I was in high school, & after seeing how unhappy the residents were, I swore I would never see my father end up in one of those type of places.
