<![CDATA[New to Florida, and looking for a New Dedicated Rock / Metal Band !! Many years experience singing lead vocals. Looking for preferably a Modern Rock / Metal cover band...specifically newer covers, as in Godsmack, Disturbed, Seether, Sevendust, Creed, Stone Sour, Alice In Chains, Slipknot, etc., but wouldn't mind "SOME" older stuff, like Van Halen, Led Zeppelin, or old Judas Priest, etc., if it's rockin', and not the "standards" everyone plays...and only SOME of the older stuff. NOT looking to be in a band that wants to play "Roadhouse Blues" for the millionth time, or any other 20 to 30 year old standards that have been way overdone by too many bands. Never understood the concept of being a clone of every other band. So, please...NO "Mustang Sally" Classic rock bands ! I like it heavier, but still in a good groove, that's danceable. Willing also to do originals, if it's something similar to the style I mentioned above, and it feels like it's something that will really take off, and be welcomed by the masses. Wanting to do a project that gets me out there playing, not being cooped up in a garage, or studio. I want to be out in front of people, having fun ! Not afraid of the stage, and LOVE to get a crowd fired up !! Experienced opening up for major headlining bands, and have always managed a good following of fans, and packed some shows. Have sang, harmonized and screamed pretty much anything and everything, and had my hands in it all. Can do anything from covers to original material, as well as write lyrics. My vocals are similar to Scott Stapp of Creed, or Sully Erna of Godsmack. Have a decent range, and have sang in styles of Judas Priest, Disturbed, Creed, Godsmack, Alice In Chains, Rage Against The Machine...to stuff like Led Zeppelin, Van Halen, Bad Company...and into Slayer, Megadeth, Metallica, Pantera, etc...and everywhere in between and beyond...the list goes on and on. I take being in a band seriously, but do it because I LOVE IT, and want to have fun. It's not a "job" to me, but still it's important...I still want to maintain a good reputation, and want to look and sound good ! I believe that "image" is just as important as the music ! I'm not looking to be a lump on a stage, or play with anyone that only cares about making cash, and could care less about the music, their appearance, their stage presence, or have the "sounds good enough" attitude, instead of learning songs how they're supposed to be played ! People like to go to a show, and have ALL their senses awakened. I like to hear people freaking out about how good we are, when we go on a break in between sets, or after a show ! <![CDATA[I am a drummer and would like to find a band if there is one like this or players to form a band. Think outside of the box of the norm. A very acoustic driven project. Melody filled yet having elements of electric. Knowing how to play for the song. Start off small and build this thing up. The basics of song writing are melody and timing. Knowing how to texture and blend. Knowing note placement and feeling it. Big melodic sound. I want to create music that is epic not the same old same old. I have always prided myself as a musician that grows not stuck in the same thing. I would like this to be fun, no drama yet at the same time working on a pro level , getting things done. Take this as far as it can go. Projects like these take work so keep that in mind when responding. Influences I see Rock, Folk, Blues, Atmosphere etc. Pulling the best elements for what ever the song needs. It would be nice to find a vocalist and gtr to start with. A gtr player who can play acoustic as well as electric, A singer who has what it takes. Maybe add a bass player or if you are out there now. Other instruments would be great later on but to get the core down first. Get it coffee house ready to test the waters so to speak. Keep building the performance and show. Goals Live and recording. I do not want to waste time so please if you are set on wanting to besides what I have described don't kid yourself and waste time. If you are tired of the same old same old and really want to put a great project together lets do it. Give a shout, any links to your playing great. TEAM PLAYERS a must no egos just work ethic and taking this to the top or as far as it will go. I Have been playing piano for the past 12 years. I am new to the area and would love the opportunity to meet some professional musicians in the area who are looking for a pianist/keyboardist/singer. I have been playing out in front of people since i was 17. Music is what i have been doing for a living and i would appreciate it if someone gave me a lending hand down here with some shows. I have played with a few people from Charleston and last band i started and lasted for about a year. I have decided to try a diferent scene and see how it works out. I am open to pretty much anything except for a couple styles. My influences are Elton John, Michael Jackson, Billy Joel, Eric Clapton, Ryan Adams, The Who, Rolling Stones, Coldplay, basically anything with emotion and feelings that people can relate to that have a great melody line.
