People are more tolerant about it nowadays, and its not such a "shock factor", nor is it as "impressive" as it once was. The concept of straight men being "metrosexual" is not as popular anymore either. A lot of women prefer a traditional man nowadays or else they will just hang out with other women. <br> <br> Furthermore, the economy is in turmoil, Milwaukee is an expensive city to live in if you have good taste, and the options for expressing expensive interests are few and far between in this town. This would also explain the decline in the straight but "metrosexual" population. When economic times are tough, its hard to justify spending 65 dollars on a haircut when Cost Cutters does it for 12 ( or a clippers at home for free ). Starbucks coffee has been replaced by Dunkin Donuts, BMW's have become Toyotas or Buicks, and those affordable dress shoes at Payless look a lot nicer compared to the more expensive choice from Allen Edmonds. <br> <br> I would assume most of them have left for better jobs elsewhere, and taken their eclectic tastes and interests with them.
